Let's see for the 2013 goals

-Attend CDM and finish inside the top-5 or preferably top-3
This goal requires me playing to the best of my ability at the very least. To get top-3 I also need to get the luck of the day in addition.

-Finally win a gold medal in an official PAL CDM tournament (if so, it'd be most likely TT)
If you enter the lottery enough times, you will eventually win it (unless you die of age first Roll Eyes

). As each year passes, a TT gold medal comes 1 year closer. Grin

-Get ranked on SNESOT
Extremely easy goal, all it requires is me participating in NTSC BM and NTSC GP tournaments

-Regain BC domination in TT
All accross the board, that includes all PAL and NTSC NBT WR's. This will require considerable effort, but I'm up for it.

-Finish GP150cc PAL Mushroom Cup speedrun for SDA
Optionally finish more cups so I can submit the entire package, but each cup takes a hell of a lot of effort to do reasonably well during the entire run.

-Set some cool WR's in SPK TT
-MC5 and VL3 NBT WR's, to be precise. Smiley

- Go to a sporting event in said country
- Lose at least 20 pounds

- Have some people come and visit my place

0"01 away in KB2 flap already! Shocked

Goals for me would include:

-For Sami's site, all times in the top 50 again. Just need GV3 flap and RR 5lap, neither of which will be easy to improve, but NBT just might save the day. If I'm really feeling ambitious from there I might try to get all times in the top 40. Wish me luck on GV3 and RR 5lap.

-On the Non-NBT site: Legend overall! Top 20 should come along with that.

-All I need is KB2 flap and all of my flaps will be rated Emperor or better.

-Get that damned 1'30" sub on BC3. This might not be that hard really...

-Another big sub is of course the 1'00" on MC1 Non-NBT. I'd better stop slacking before Leyla beats me to this Smiley

-Get a time, any time, into the Top 20. I have never had a top 20 time on Sami's site. Smiley

@Joe: Personally I'm quite happy with carrying a few extra pounds. You and Clark may be different but I still feel great weighing 222. Cheesy

As for SMK you should try to become the first American rated Myth overall! C'mon, be honest here, aside from Tyler's one WR the U.S. looks really bad in the high ranks of this game. You can't count on me to do it can you?

I lost the drive, man. Having regular sex with a girlfriend kills all creativity/ambition...

To try to compete on the level I was at would take me just as long as it did to climb the ranks the first time. Do I want to go through all that trouble to improve my times by "30 at best? I gave BC1 a real go on PAL last year. That's my favorite PR that I never even submitted... Shame on me.

But yeah, I feel no way to compete at the highest level again, unless I go all in like Sami currently is. Watching his progress has been so much fun! Smiley

See above, you're making it overly hard on yourself doing it all without NBT, but Matthias Boucher ("Gatchan") has an Emperor A timesheet on NTSC that's all Non-NBT.

I don't expect to beat this TBH, Tyler is probably a much bigger threat. Even my current 11"74 was with NBT.

I'm quite nonplussed by the KB1 watersliding strat myself, I lose way, way too much speed and can't really figure out what I do wrong. It's what's keeping me in the lower Kings on this course. Plus if I don't put up a better 5lap some time, you can clearly see what will inevitably happen... Smiley

Another few Myth times would be nice (I have MC1/CI2 laps on pal and ntsc). A top10 time somewhere would be great as well. Have one of those random jumps in ability that seem to happen every once in a while, though I doubt this will happen.

Since my goals were too unambitious in 2012, here are my 2013 goals.

-Full set of hero ranks
-Women's world champion on NTSC or at least beat Yukiko
-One emperor rank (will probably be MC1 or DP1 F-LAP I reckon)
-At least a 3/5 PJ on GV1 NTSC
-Top 70 on NTSC and top 100 on PAL if I succeed at NTSC
-full set of bumper jumps on all Bowser Castles
-Clean VL1 & VL2
-LB lap on MC2 with the proper trajectory and 5/5 LB 5 lap
-Improve my non-NBT driving (Full set of elite ranks at least)

Just started today again with 6 NBTprs!

-Pass Kalle Videkull on Samis site to get #1 spot in Sweden (Non-nbt will have to wait lol)
-Top 20
-At least one top 10 time
-Get all times to Emperor or better
-Titan F or better in the ARR table
-No time outside of top 50

I think that's good goals for me Smiley
