~Mario Kart Super Circuit Team Challenge~

I agree. Those were fun. I think so long as people are active with it, we can do it again. I've drawn up the following format in my mind's eye...
1) 3 weeks, one set of 3 challenges per week for a total of 9 challenges planned. (If it's a success, we can have Team Challenge "seasons" and draw up a new set of teams and a new 9 challenge set each season.)
2) 3 players per team. (The number of teams is indeterminate and depends on number of sign ups.)
3) Each team will compete in the 3 challenges of that week. The highest AF ranked player will play the first of the 3 challenges, which (I'll try) to make sure is the most difficult one to complete (with a decent time). The second highest of the three will play the second challenge, and the lowest ranked AF player on a team will play the easiest of the set of challenges.
4) At the end of a week, there will be a 1 day window to submit times. You can have any team member do this, so long as substantive proof is provided that each member of the team did in deed accomplish the time. (A quoted PM would probably usually suffice since I think everyone here is pretty honest and wouldn't cheat. Though we can iron these details out later.)
5) At the end of the week, the best time of each set submitted per challenge will receive a score of 1.0000. The other times will be rewarded values worth (best time/submitted time) 0 < score < 1. Much like the PRSR ratios work on this site.
6) Your raw score for the week will be the sum of the 3 "PRSR" scores you attain, for a maximum of 3 possible points.
Technicality: Since each team will not be equally skilled, I will add in this factor to maximize benefits of effort regardless of skill. Each team will have a calculated average AF. (For example, a team with AF scores of #3, #11, #19 = #27 would have an average AF of #9. Average AF will be an integer, rounded down value.) This will determine a team's Quality Factor. The team with the best average AF by default will receive a quality factor of 1.0000. (For example, let's suppose the best average AF team has a rank of #9. I will look and see what the current #9 on the site has in average PRSR score. If a team has an average AF of #10, I will compare the site's #9 score with #10 score, and the team with the average AF of #10 would have a quality factor of (#9 score / #10 score) = some value slightly greater than 1.) The quality factor for each team will be calculated and set at the beginning of the contest and will not fluctuate with changes on the chart during the contest period.
7) A team's net score for the week then will be (score 1, + score 2, + score 3) * QF. Theoretically therefore, it should be possible to score more than 3 points per week.
8) The team with the highest score at the end of the three weeks will be that "season's" Team Challenge Champion.
I think this is a decent format that standardizes and stabilizes uncertainty factors pretty well, but please let me know if you think a modification to this contest layout would improve the quality of the contest.
I'm willing to host the first season so to speak starting October 7th, a Sunday, but I encourage others that if they want to host a contest season in the future, I don't see why they can't.

To simplify things again as much as possible, I think that the 9 challenges should be ultimately left to the creativity of the host, though of course as a host I certainly wouldn't discourage suggestions and ideas of others. Also, team formation should probably be left as a random sorting, though it doesn't have to be and can be up to the discretion of the contest host.
