Quarter Final 1

Cole (Cole Gilbert)    44 (56.4%)
Zarkov (Chris Clark)    34 (43.5%)

And we have our first semi-finalist. Clark got off to a very strong start in this matchup, leading 10-2 after the first 30 minutes. Then Cole notched up 6 votes in a row to bring it close again, and the two traded votes into the early hours of the morning. Today was much stronger for Cole though, and a nice 9 vote streak near the end made it a convincing victory for the new-school vs old-school. Our contest host, and 2k10 semi-finalist bows out, but Cole makes his case as a serious contender going into the final 4.

Cole advances to the Semi Finals.

Quarter Final 2

Etch (Robert Szabo)  44 votes (51.1%)
KartSeven (Pierre L'Hoest)  42 votes (48.8%)

This match was closer than Jaws is to God as Etch secures the narrowest of victories over this years surprise package. Pierre started positively going 6-4 up in the first 20 minutes, and held onto his lead until the early hours at 25-23. Then Etch reeled off a 6 vote streak, which put him ahead. He held onto this lead for the rest of the match, but at times it was only by 1 vote. He had eased ahead again towards the end of the match, but a last minute 4 vote streak for Pierre almost gave him the win.

Etch advances to the Semi Finals.

Quarter Final 3

Shock (Andy Lundeen)  46 votes (57.5%)
Sword (Tom Norton)  34 votes (42.5%)

Shock makes his way to the semis, as Sword tries to beat one site champ too many. It started off close, with them tieing 4-4 after half an hour. Then Shock hit an 8 vote streak. Sword was still in it a few hours in, trailing 22-17. They traded votes throughout the early hours, but another 8 vote streak for Shock towards the end of the match gives him the victory.

Shock advances to the Semi Finals.

Quarter Final 4

Mick (Mickael Smolen)  48 votes (59.2%)
MJ (Micheal Jongerius)  33 votes (40.8%)

Another big win for the new school, as Mick unceremoniously dumps the MK64 Messiah out of the contest. The closest MJ got to leading this match was 3 minutes in when the match was tied 3-3. Then Mick replied with a nice streak of 9, and the match was effectively over. A few hours in and Mick was still solidly ahead at 23-12, and from there he cruised to victory picking up a streak of 5 and 6 along the way.

Mick advances to the Semi Finals.

Semi Final 1

Etch (Robert Szabo)  42 votes (51.8%)
Cole (Cole Gilbert)  39 votes (48.2%)

And we have our first Finalist! Etch makes it to the Final for the 2nd contest running by beating hotly tipped Cole by the narrowest of margins. Etch took the early lead going 7-5 up, then Cole supporters stirred to life and pushed him 18-21 infront. Cole had increased his lead by the halfway point to 26-31, before Etch slowly started to reel him in. He took 11 of the last 14 votes to secure his Final spot.

Etch advances to the Final.

Cole advances to the 3rd place match.

Semi Final 2

Mick (Mickael Smolen)  53 votes (66.2%)
Shock (Andy Lundeen)  27 votes (33.8%)

And we have our 2nd Finalist! Mick demonstrates his steamroller impersonation once again as he brushes aside Shock without so much as a slight static shock (eh? eh? sigh) Andy was in touch 10 minutes in when he was only 1 vote down at 4-5, but once our old friend Avalanche Mick got going again, there was only ever going to be one outcome. Mick was outnumbering Shock 2 to 1 for a good portion of this match, and reeled off streaks of 5, 6, and 10 before taking 9 of the last 11 votes to seal an emphatic win.

Mick advances to the Final.

Shock advances to the 3rd Place Match.

The Final will be posted on completion of the 3rd place match and will last for 48 hours.

3rd Place Match

Cole (Cole Gilbert)  51 votes (59.4%)
Shock (Andy Lundeen)  35 votes (40.6%)

And Cole wins the match that noone will remember. Well done Cole. Bad luck Andy.

Cole doesnt advance anywhere because this was the 3rd Place Match, silly

Andy makes a sexual advance towards Cole because he got the bronze medal.

And the winner is...

The Final

Mick (Mickael Smolen)  57 (50.8%)
Etch (Robert Szabo)  55 (49.2%)

Mick! Please offer up your congratulations/salutations/masturbations to our new Karter Contest Champion. And comiserations to the gallant loser Etch who now has the unenviable record of being the only karter to of lost two KC Finals. The Andy Roddick of Karter Contests indeed.

Mick had been romping his way to victory in every one of his matches, but not this time. Though it certainly seemed that way to start with. He sprung into a 9-3 lead in the first 30 minutes, and was 14-9 ahead on the hour mark. Mick had extended his lead to 41-33 a quarter way into the match, and at this point it looked as if Etch wouldnt be able to get close enough to steal victory. This is where you would be wrong though, as Etch slowly started to claw his way back. Halfway into the match, Etch had pulled it back to 48-45. And with only 12 hours left to go, it was tied at 55-55. Thats right, there were only 2 votes in the last 12 hours of the match. But they were all important, as they broke the tie and gave Mick the win.

Mick wins the 2k12 Karter Contest

So thats the KC over and done with for another two years. Many thanks to all who helped, namely shadow, Mick, and Jones. And also to everyone who voted and added their thoughts/humour/memes into the mix. It might not be remembered as fondly as some of the others, but I sure had fun hosting it. I dont think il be hosting another one though, so get your fix of Zarkov wit while you still can!

This also marks the end of polls appearing on every forum. All Cheaters HoF, and extra matches will now only appear in the Karter Contest board. There will be a days break before I post any of the extra/cheater matches.

Cheaters Hall of Fame

Quarter Final 1

Mander  61 votes (50.5%)
Kelvin Costillo 60 votes (49.5%)

The first match of the Cheaters HoF, and the first time I call shenanigans. The match started off nice and cheating free, with Mander taking a huge lead. Then in stepped Master Honko, who sneakily switched round the poll options so Manders huge lead became Kelvins huge lead. ALAKTORN didnt like this very much, being the Mander fanboy that he is. So he started abusing the guest vote option, and pulled Mander back into it. But he didnt stop there. He proceeded to spam guest votes until Mander had once again made a huge lead. Honko, being the sneakiest of raptors realised he had been mean and switched the poll options back to give Kelvin back the lead. ALAKTORN once again spammed the guest votes, but this time only enough to tie the players. So in stepped the Master of Ceremonies, Fenner, who gave Mander the last vote, and the win.

Mander advances to the Semi Finals.

Quarter Final 2

Terrence Fenner  39 votes (72.2%)
Jay Batten  15 votes (27.8%)

The 3 other QFs were relatively shenanigan free, though this marks the first time Fenner has legitimately won something without cheating. Nah thats harsh. He won our hearts years ago. Despite his claims of not wanting to win, Fenner crushed Jay 'I got my penis out on stream because its not gay or anything' Batten convincingly. I put it down to the ironing board. Maybe Jay shouldve shown that on stream instead.

Fenner advances to the Semi Finals.

Quarter Final 3

Walter Black  29 votes (55.8%)
Jorge Hernandez  23 votes (44.2%)

Whore Gay didnt do quite enough whoring and gaying to beat the #1 MKWii stooge. It was fairly close early on, but Walter called some people retarded and posted some more TAS WRs which won him many fans. Well not many, about 6.

Walter advances to the Semi Finals.

Quarter Final 4

The Hab Trio  42 (82.4%)
Elliott Maynes  9 (17.6%)

The Hab Trio prove they still have all the panache and class of many moons ago by beating the latest MK64 cheat. Cheaters just dont even try and look good anymore. Even if I divide Habs total by 3, they still win.

Hab advances to the Semi Finals.

Semi Final 1

Fenner  26 votes (50.9%)
Mander  25 votes (49.1%)

No shenanigans here, but a tight match nonetheless. Fenners baffling posts and haphazard comments seemed to carry more weight with the community than Manders devious conniving. The match was tied 25-25 with an hour to go. The tie-breaker this time? Lafungo. You horse.

Fenner advances to the Final.

Semi Final 2

The Hab Trio  38 votes (70.4%)
Walter Black  16 votes (29.6%)

At least one classy cheater (or 3) made it to the Final. I think had Walter of won, I still wouldve put Hab through. The only people who voted for Walter were of an MKWii disposition. (except Moll) Everyone else went for Hab.

Hab advances to the Final.

The Final

The Hab Trio  35 votes (56.4%)
Fenner  27 votes (43.5%)

And so the classiest cheaters around win the classiest contest around. Being crowned greatest ever cheater was just a step too far for the Captain of Nonsense. Hab become the first and only inductees to the Cheaters Hall of Fame as im banning all future contests in this name because winners dont do drugs.

Hab wins the Cheaters Hall of Fame.
