I expected to lose against Zark, but not with a tight match...

I'm happy with the result. It was really good to get in the last 16, and then get out against my favourite anti-wop.
I really didn't expect many people voting for me, and this makes me happy to be part of this community. It's true: you can come here to kart, or to discuss and have fun. As long as you're not a Walter everyone will accept you and talk with you. I've experienced this, everyone here has experienced this. It doesn't surprise me that there are many people who have been here for 10+ years. This is why this community is great.

Goes without saying but thanks to everyone voting. I didn't expect to make a deep run again with all the new blood out there. Web has been busy tackling the mkw lot while Stacy is quietly one of the best karters all around. I haven't been much of an active karter myself lately but I can't seem to shake the grip mkds and the people here have on me. Despite the fact this contest almost didn't happen (well sort of), we've had great voter turn out and a very strong field. It's great to see a lot of close matches which proves how torn we are in trying to vote at all.

The quarterfinals are shaping up to be very good matches.

I have something prepared should I cross swords with Clark again! Grin

I think Mick is going to be taking a trip to the semi's, and likely the finals too.

The next matches should be interesting though. I bet Cole has a decent chance of upsetting Zarkov, and I think I'm in for a close match with Sword. Etch doesn't exactly have a by either against Pierre, but I'm betting, like Mick, he'll make it through to the semis.

The main question on my mind is, will Etch cross Swords with Zarkov and deliver a Shocking result in the next days? Roll Eyes

Congrats to MJ (and all the quarter-finalists). I can't complain really for being knocked out by arguably the most dominant karter in existence.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me even though I haven't been very active as of late. I've actually made a small comeback to MK64 unrelated to the timing of this contest so I should be around more for the foreseeable future. Smiley

I'm a bit late, but again, I want to thank everyone who voted for me against KVD! I honestly didn't expect to win it. Winning again by such a small margin twice in a row really was a shocker for me. Shocked

I did delay this because I went Rollerskating at a Disco dressed as. . . well, do I even need to say? Tongue

I was hoping the person who was in charge of the camera would have uploaded the pictures by now, but he hasn't done yet. . . I'll bug him about it soon. . .

I tried shooting some video but the lighting was way too poor. . . besides, it would have been an utter disgrace for the world to see someone impersonate Toad and make him look like such a loser on skates. . .

Regardless, I'll post the picture in here when he has finally decided to upload them all.

Well said. Any karter who isn't active either on the board, with the site updates, live meetups, or with PRs, unless they're just a God among karters, doesn't deserve to make it this far unless he has support from others from his ilk. I can't critique anyone's voting styles as I usually vote for the lesser of two evils, but think a little about the candidates and their platforms rather than just their namesakes.
