How the hell do you keep tight on the spiral section??? I'm resorting to mushroom tyres because I'm losing so much time on that corner with slick tyres Undecided

Breaking helps keeping a tight line if you don't overdo it, also the speed loss isn't really bad because you release the red mt at the end of the spiral.

Same goes for AF too I think.

^I press B two or three times in that turn, depending upon how I have entered the turn. With Mushroom tires is very easy to do the turn properly, but they are way slower than slick.

I will use Red Monster. Thomas Gonda's strat seems 0"5XX faster at least.

Aside from the braking, I'm also confused about the best way to go about that.  I would always press B after getting the first 3 coins and then release the SMT whenever necessary, but now Adro is saying he brakes 2-3 times and Thomas Gonda seems to brake much later (unless he braked multiple times and I didn't see it).  So yeah, not much to say here :/

On lap 1 i brake once.  On lap 2/3 i take the line where the first 3 coins used to be and lightly brake, then i brake harder one more time near the end of the spiral when it looks like I'm moving away from the rails.

This is the same that I do with slick. So yes, it works.

BTW, Monster/RM is definately way faster. My best splits with slicks were 40"96X - 39"68X - 39"68X (I think more or less) and now in one hour with Red Monster I got 40"919 - 39"583 - 39"583, after 7 days without play anything, and improvables by 0"100 sure. Tomorrow with some practise I think that I could reach 2'00"0XX - 2'00"1XX easily. I will try to master this strat. I want to see if is possible to attack the WR.

I didn't know you could brake whilst drifting Tongue Thanks guys.

2'02"290 -> several improvements -> 2'01"170, opted for slick tyres over RM though.
