Yeah good point. Maybe they are just hacked times. But I wonder how you got so many of these ghosts in the first place since they tend to get deleted very quickly (unless this has changed and Ninty became lazy).

He said that he had an old backup on his hdd of ~2000 ghosts so that is how he was able to sift through those ghosts and find those particular suspicious times.

Well, I guess that's case closed on Dused. It's a shame to find out he's been cheating for a while now...And is it just me, or did his reaction seem incredibly similar to Jorge's? (Attempting to emphasize his legit times, getting mad and storming out, etc.)

Also, the last time I talked to Walter about his old times, he insisted that all his regular PR's were legit in order to save face in front of his Youtube following. I'd love to see what he has to say now.

Spamming a mouse and spamming the d-pad is totally different.  I had 144 'a' button presses in mario party 4 domination rounds on one of my old videos and I can't get lws for shit through spamming the d pad.

I'm not saying Wyvern is a cheater either, I'm just saying it's not really comparable and he shouldn't be let off of the hook that easy.

When Maschell's script says "ALERT found 10 "non inputs < 5 frames"... in 18 frames/ 0.3 seconds" that's pretty much certain that the Rapid Fire code was used.
For the other ones, the script isn't as detailed as my personal checks because it doesn't check the individual D-pads inputs.

For example, I use the right hand claw grip, so when I press "^" on the D-pad I also often register ">".

So sometimes it might reigster as like 10 01 00 02 30 01 00 02 10 01
(Wheelie, 2 frames, Right Trick, 2 frames, Wheelie)

This may look like very fast inputs (in terms on counting non input frames) but it only happens because I register 2 different inputs when pressing the D-pad.

This also happens to some Nunchuck users.

I checked Jacob's 1'44"694 from 2008 (impossible to TAS back then) and he also registered many side tricks when mashing the D-pad.

His inputs back then would throw alerts by Maschell's script, but he actually registers less wheelie inputs per second than Nagisa and Brett (who don't register that many side tricks).

Note that all the people that I've said TAS did not register side tricks during their impossible inputs, only wheelie inputs.

Also some people were curious about ROK*Ken. I only checked one of his old 2008/09 ghosts and it looked like his playstyle was to only do one lift of the wiimote to get a chain wheelie (completely timed).

The amount of TASers is incredible :|

This is 100% proof that Mander = TAS

Shortly after that run he got 1'43"765 with 11/12 perfect luck wheelies.

There were many comments on his youtube video accusing him of TAS because of these luck wheelies.

So for his next run, 1'43"577, he changed his TAS methods and didn't get as many luck wheelies. His inputs in this run seem natural. I think he most likely used savestates for this run.

This is a historic day for the Mario Kart site as a whole.
We finally caught the longest living cheater who got away from us for so many years. I never thought I would see this happen.
There are no words to express my gratitude.

Well, it's nice to finally have that cleared up. Though I have to admit, part of me was really hoping Mander was legit...Oh well. Just to be absolutely certain, though, those inputs are all D-Pad Up, right?
