Even the Olympics have such a policy. Look at the eerie similarities. You get a gold medal in Athens and are immediately tested after the race. You're data sample is stored for the future so when testing improves it can be looked at again to see if newly detectable things show up. If they do they take away the gold medal(s), invalidate any record(s) and you are wiped from the history books. Simple as pie. We need to do the same thing with our samples (ghosts) and ban these players for life and invalidate each and every one of their times. I don't care if they set it on the release date of the game, it's principle.

Again, that policy is better for the Players' Page than a true historical record. The Olympics really are more comparable to the Players' Page--it's the biggest competitive scene in the world, and it keeps its own records of everything. We're doing a similar thing in Mario Kart. That's why we follow the same policy--if we catch a cheater, we throw out all his times, awards, and Site Records, legit or not, past or present. But the WR history doesn't work like that; it's a separate record entirely. There, we're only concerned with facts. That's all that matters. For such purposes, we don't care how much of a scumbag a past WR holder might be. It's our job to simply record facts without any prejudice or personal feeling. That's why Paco still has credit for a 2010 DS Desert Hills WR. (Which I notice that no one has complained about so far...Why is that, I wonder?) So if some time of Mander's couldn't have been cheated because it was set 3 days after the release of the game, it has to be shown on the true historical record. Because at the end of the day, you can't just say, "They never had any WR's" and expect your word to make it so. You can make new discoveries about the past, but you can never truly change it.

Rainbow Road is far stranger. When Cole claimed the World Record (just a week before Mario had done the same), Mario was nowhere to be seen on the worldwide top 10. It's also interesting to note that hacks were DEFINITELY available in December, when Mander had used them.

So i doubt Mario's Records were set at a time when hacking was not doable. This fact, together with the lack of honesty shown by this guy and the discovered hacking, means you can't trust them. I'll reiterate; It's better to have times which MIGHT be legit off the site, than times which MIGHT be hacked on the site.

Edit: Jay is easy, he's never had a WR prior to a few months back. Isn't it shit when the long con doesn't work, Jay?

Hey, I checked the website today and saw how it says I have the WR for DKM. I know Sun confessed and I read what you wrote regarding Serxiow. . . so pretty much you think he slowed it down for the glitches based on how quickly he presses the buttons? It always amazed me how 1. He 3/3'd it so ridiculously quick and, 2. how he was able to do the shortcut after the glitch extremely well every lap and get the perfect alignment to take the last turn tight since there are so many button inputs in that small area and to get that 3 times in one run is insane. I kinda get it once in my current 2:02.532 run on lap3 but it's still inferior to all of his.

It's pretty annoying not knowing if I have the WR or not but either way, I'll try my best to get 2:01 when I have the time. All I need is another 3/3 and I should get it, don't know how long that'll take though x]

I remember downloading a ghost of his a long time ago, and it showed up as a Wheel time and seemed to run normally. The reason I'm bringing this up is that there's been a lot of talk about how it's supposed to be impossible to TAS with the Wii Wheel, and yet everyone regarded his runs as TAS at the time because they looked suspicious. Was everyone wrong about him, or is it possible to cheat with the Wii Wheel after all?

I remember when this person (who copied the name of another player badly iirc) got his first "wr", and ethan and myself tried to convince mander and his other yt noobs on mander's channel that he wasn't legit (that was before I learnt that posting stuff on yt gets you nowhere). I never believed him, glad to know he actually admitted at some point though.

Do you know if any of his ghosts are still available? I've never heard of hacking a time to show the Wii Wheel on the Top 10, and I'd be curious to see which controller it would be shown as on Maschell's database.

Not wanting to start anything again, but I was curious to see how MVTs times stack up on the PP, seen as how he is calling people out on being "talentless". I was thinking they would be all legendary considering how he comes across talking about people having no talent. Was quite suprissed to see that your times are very very avarage for someone who makes himself come across as some great player, infact some of my times beat yours by many seconds. You have a few stand out times thats all, could pass you easy if I had any desire to join the PP. I guess these few good times are the times you still dine out on to this day. WGM isn't the whole of MKW just saying. 100% sure that I have more "talent" overall in MKW than you. Not going to respond if you choose to respond to this, I wanted to say what I think.
