The more videos the better, even if it's a cellphone recording of a TV from 5/2008.  Idk why you can be so meticulous about mii names and dates yet not think vids are as important??

^Hmm… while I think the original video has historical value, better quality gives a better idea of what the run was… I’d go for better quality I think, and maybe add the original video in the comment/source section or something?

The creator IDs of the 2 miis are different, meaning - unless he used 2 wiis, they are 2 separate people.

Proof:

I made a program to compare my data with www.ninrankings.org/ghostdatabase, and matched over 750 WRs on there.
With that I did the following:
-Added links to the ghost viewer for all these times.
-Added splits for 10 times that were missing splits
-Added controller info for a few players
-Found and changed a bunch of mii names that were slightly off: http://mkwrs.com/mkwii/changed_mii_names.txt

For mii names it's not entirely accurate to use the ghost database mii name, example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93WNvx8aSX4 and http://www.ninrankings.org/ghostdatabase/ghostviewer.php?id=29657. But I only checked a few of them.

I also manually added the newer ghosts that were done on CTGP.

It's hard to have accurate history for the early WRs since they were improved so often and weren't kept track of. The site currently starts on 2008-04-12 which is fine imo (the game was released 2008-04-10).

Over the course of looking for unreported WRs, I've come across several times that are questionable whether they were WRs or were missing some crucial bit of information, such as exact time or exact player. Here they are:

Both sources say that the 2'24"230 was an "012 improvement. However, the site only has 2'24"245, which is "003 off. We know the "245 time existed due to the video and top 10 screenshots from that era, but it's definitely possible he has "242 as well.

Looking at the top 10, Mander and Jorge have both been exposed as cheaters. The previous legitimate WR was 1'08"413 by Niyake. That leaves Horseface with 1'08"157, who must have achieved it between 8/10 and 8/24, I think it's incredibly likely that this time was a WR, the only question mark being the date it happened on.
