That huge Russian win was really hard to predict.

The feeling of being a world champion is intoxicating, and I didn't want to ever not be the world champion again. Then I realized it didn't matter that much since I had nothing more to prove and achieved my most important goal(s).

It was all looking so good until the last 10 minutes.  :'( Damn you Pavlyuchenko.  Smiley Haven't done this since WC 2006, that time I always guessed the winner but never the scoreline, looks like I'm continuing in the same vein this time.

And that's it for day one! No one got Russia - Czech Republic right, but no less than six players scored 7 points.
For tomorrow, the Netherlands are the huge favorite according to you. Germany can also count on a lot of support.

I'm experimenting with color below; I hope it also looks good for those of you who use a special template, otherwise I'll think of something else.
By the way, the use of color also has quite an impact on the size of my post; right now I'm precisely at the limit! I'll just hope that you don't get too many correct predictions...

Not too much into football, but of course I follow the euro and world cup a little. Anyone care to explain how seeding works? Is it just based on some rankings (even with current FIFA ranking i'm not sure I get it). I really don't get the point of qualifiers if you're not going to use results from that for seeding - As far as I remember, Denmark won their pool and still somehow gets 4th layer seed here... And then even getting in the same pool as a team they outplaced in their qualifiers pool (Portugal), who somehow still gets a higher seed. It's even (according to you guys as well from what I read), the hardest pool now. Lame and unfair, lol.

Maybe i'm too used to go by smash(gaming?) standards, but it seems weird to me to have a qualification round, and then not use that for further seeding at all...

Yeah, Denmark defended like legends. Holland had a lot of attempts on goal, but most of them were hardly challenging the keeper. Interesting to see Ivo predicted a Dane win.

Interesting to see Ivo predicted a Dane win.

That was in the random predictions, only Valandina was brave/stupid enough to predict it in real life Wink Not a bad tactic to pick a few outside choices in these kind of competitions and get points no one else does (but most of the time you will just loose).

I'll just hope that you don't get too many correct predictions...

So I got what I wished for. Me and my big mouth... Lips Sealed

Still someone did not only predict a Danish win, he put down 0-1! Florian V is the name. He also had 0-1 in the random competition. Grin
Two correct predictions for Germany - Portugal, amazingly from two guys who were already in the lead. So Tim and Ivo are now tied in 1st place!
Ivo is also doing quite well in the random competition, where Aron has taken over the lead from Abel.

For tomorrow, Spain and Croatia are the favorites.
