Thinking bout trying MKDD

Hi  MKDD people!! Smiley

I'm come from MK64
recently i bought a wii and i've been thinking bout getting double dash for it,
i wonder about this

on mk64 the controller thumbstick got worn out pretty fast and good new ones are really hard to find online now, does the GC controller suffer the same problem? would it be likely that if i bought one online it be in a pretty ok condition?

thank you Smiley

GCN Controller don't worn out as easy as N64 ones... I have my controller from 2004, and it's still good for high level PRs (around #10ish) Cheesy so don't worry about the stick. Only thing I would recommend you to buy would be an original GCN Controller... believe me, those no name shit things aren't worth a single euro.

Kouider did his pr's with a non-nintendocontroller.. I believe Marijn have some 60hz-times done with a Big ben.. but Nintendo is better imo Smiley

I've never had problems with the stick, but I have had one controller's R button die on me before--and that was from MKWii. I don't imagine MKDD would be any gentler on the shoulder buttons... Tongue

^Yeah, I've been playing since last Christmas and my R button broke after ~3 months. I did fix it by manually swapping some internal parts with the L button's, but now if I press L it sticks down and I have to punch the side of the controller hard to fix it Grin  I have a 3rd party one (the GameStop Chameleon), but I'd say it's one of the best 3rd party ones out there. I haven't had problems with anything besides the R button, and my friend has some other crappy 3rd party ones in terrible condition that haven't been used half as much as mine. And definitely get this game, it's something you won't regret buying Smiley

Fixing the R button so you only have to press it as far as a regular button worked great for me. Of course, that controller can no longer be used for certain games.

hmmm - I do hope you're not taking too long a break from the 64 Wink. MKDD should have a warning: "This game will seriously damage your MK64 skills".

- well, not permanently Smiley. but most people experience some trouble switching. the mt's are both too much alike and too much different.

I think I managed to wear my controller down somewhat. It's still useable, but at some point I found mt's were getting trickier. but I've got a spare stick I'll install if ever I try this game again.
