Time on normal updating in MK7, it differs. About 50-60 new messages come in every day. If we would live in a perfect world (I mean every player would put his name in his submission, nobody would try to send in glitched times, nobody would mess the correct abreviations up, people would stop sending in a new message for every single PR in stead of just sending 1 message with 5 PRs...), then I think it would take 20-25 minutes.
If you don't know some e-mail addresses by heart (of the people who sort of always forget to include their names), then you lose an extra 15-20 minutes, because you'll have to dig through previous messages until you find the name or try to find the profile on the site that matches with the e-mail address. And with 15-20 minutes I mean 15-20 for each person.
Then we have the common errors. Nobody can be blamed for sending in an error once in a while, but with this new game and tons of messages, you'll be sure to encounter at least 3 errors in each update you try to do. Then you should try to identify the kind of error. It could be a typo in the track name (RLR in stead of RLM...) or it could a typo in the time. Most of the time you don't notice this kind of stuff, but you'll have to fix it later when someone notices.
And finally, you, as an updater, can make mistakes too. I love it when I think I finished an update only to find out that I again wrote one of those dreaded Italian names wrong. Come on seriously can't they just have normal names. This also counts for Dutch names, but I have the luck to speak Dutch myself.
If you think you have the persistance to deal with those problems, then you are needed. If you didn't even had the strenght to read this to the bottom, then you should think twice about becoming an updater.
