Mario, if it was such a big deal to you why didn't you ask your times to be removed when he was reinstated an why didn't I receive a single email or pm from anyone here when I reinstated fenner?
Not was any new pot made in regards to him.
That's directed at ALL of you who remark that it was my bad decision to re-let him back on.
Karel. I feel I'm entitled to only start voicing my true opinion now I'm not the site admin. I will not stop referencing the best mksc player in the world in my posts if it is relevant.
You talk about becoming a parody of ones self but I imagine you are starting to understand more how tiring it was reading a select fews' continual and relentless remarks towards fenner and how the situation can be handled.
I haven't spoken to Mvt in any capacity about this but I see (apart from calling people racist) that we share a similar view which I the logical one. Less altruistic.

Touchι, point conceded. Though I was also posting about other stuff and driving/posting WR's in the meantime, I can't deny that at some point we were both broken records reiterating the same points over and over. Perhaps I shouldn't perceive your posts as trolling, but bringing up the issue over and over again is not going to be really constructive to this section I believe.
I'm just saying that, if from now on half of your posts or more are going to refer to this issue, that'd be a sad thing, because you used to be a much more colourful MB frequenter/contributor.

Well, at first I told myself "OK, this guy is almost 20 now, maybe he has grown up, let's wait a bit and see how things happen". Because I was like many of us when he came back: I didn't think it was a good idea, but maybe he could have proven legit and, the most important, he could have turned into a better person and a more mature player. When I saw him posting WRs and WRs almost everyday, I thought he hadn't stopped cheating and making a fool of the MKSC community. That's why I decided to stop playing because the competition was starting to lose credibility, and I was not the only one to think this way. Me and some other players decided to react by asking for a removal of our times when we found it had become a too much bad taste joke, i.e when Fenner became (very quickly) #1 in such a few weeks of presence on the Players' Page.

Not in a similar light to low level early adopters of nbt getting high ranked times merely because they are using a superior technique?
Zzmt is very underused. You only have to be equivalent legen rank and an zzmt player to become wc at the moment.
Fenner proved that.
It's perfectly logical how his times improved so quickly.

For those who didn't know, Terrence already used ZZMT in 2007 (he already claimed 0'44"80 at PC, for example).

I don't know if you answered my post the wrong way on purpose or if you just don't understand what I mean, but this was absolutely not the point of my previous message... I think I should give it up (as I did with MVT), you're really acting completely blind when it's all about Fenner, sometimes you defend him as if he was your son.

I haven't bothered reading through all the posts, but this topic isn't for Fenner discussion. Not every topic on this board deserves Fenner wank. That chapter is over and done with -- if I keep seeing Fenner-related posts in here, I'll lock the topic. Take the Fenner wank to the Fenner thread -- I haven't locked it yet.

If you can be bothered, you could move all of those to the Fenner thread. Or just delete them or leave it as it is of course. Up to you.

You can split a thread at a certain post and then splice it on to another, like if there were 15 posts about Fenner you could just take them off and attach them to the Fenner discussion thread. That's what the Split and Splice tools are foor.

I would say its highly relevant to say that fenner was the POY. Its just he wont be recognised as such because he was thrown off the site.

Well I think that even the Fenner dislikers would agree with that fact. If he had not been removed, he would have won POY 2011 as an obviousness (*). Raul Henrique also got both SMK 1st and 2nd POQs in 2009 thanks to his impressive climb and to a couple of WRs.
Whatever the player is a cheater or not, caught cheating or not, the most impressive climbs and PRs look always obvious when it's all about rewarding players' performances.
The only thing that people were blaming you for is pointing out that Fenner should have won this POY in a thread where we all were supposed to vote between four specific players he couldn't be part of since he's removed from the site, and generating a new fight between the pro and anti Fenner.
(*)
not sure this part of my sentence makes sense in English

He knows what he's doing Mario and of course his point is relevant to a certain extent, but not so much in this thread that discusses 4 clearly pronounced options. We best leave it to April now and stop commenting on that matter.
Andy is gonna win POY me thinks.
Funny to see that Chris' SMK activity yielded him a POY, whereas in MKSC he might miss it eventhough he was much more active in that and arguably enjoyed a more impressive climb (though it's hard to compare as the SMK rankings are at a later point in the competition's evolution). That shows MKSC competition is healthier than most might think, or SMK's is just declining with age of course.

i've cast my vote
Just seems interesting that there wasn't even a comment in the op.
It might have been more apt to say,
"Although the true POY would've been our site champ Terrence Fenner, because we pretty much kicked him off the site and he's gone mental we've come up with the next best options... x/y/z etc)"
seems its the preferred option to forget immediately (for the sake of causing conflict) what has happened than to mark it at the correct moments.

I was thinking about a long answer but this should definitely deserve a new thread (in the SMK section?) because there are many interesting points to discuss on.

At the risk of going off topic, I'd just like to reply to KVD and Mario by bringing up the idea of yearly sites for SMK as well again, since it seems to have boosted activity quite a bit over in the MK64 section. Anyways, this discussion can continue later in the appropriate thread.

Congratulations. The poll was very close at the beginning with the top favorites Andy and Chris not giving an inch to eachother. But then Andy thought it was enough and with a nice intermediate sprint he got the win.

Both you and Chris had an incredible year racing your way straight to the top 10 out of no where.
In the end I voted Andy since he was able to pass our non-zzmt champ along with all those new records.
