I was just wondering...
Do you PR alone and you just check your time at each lap just to see if you made a good lap or not?
Or do you rather prefer racing a better ghost or your own ghost just to know if you are beating him or not?
As far as I'm concerned, I feel very stressed when I'm PRing against my own ghost. So I prefer using the best ghost I have (even if it's my own ghost) at first, to get used again to every trajectories, but also to the splits I should get to beat my time and then race alone and try to get a PR.
But, I could sometimes race an other ghost when it's about 2 or 3 seconds better than mine (like on BC or MP) so that I know where I've done something wrong in my run that I didn't know or if I'm too far from the ghost to get a PR.

When I feel like I could beat that ghost, I'm just not racing it because I would be too stressed when I'm ahead of it and would undoubtedly make a mistake. Also, I can't get good trajectories when I can't see precisely when the wall or the sand is because of the ghost. x)
Anyway, what's your usual way to PR?
