Edit: I posted this before seeing the thread in General, but am leaving this as-is. If Fenner wants to try to establish trust and come back in a year, he is still more than welcome to.
^Yea. Feel free to speak your mind, but certain things (like accusing someone of being racist without any known basis) cross the line. MVT: Your video post directed toward Mario86 will be deleted here shortly because of that. You can express your point without calling someone racist (directly or indirectly).
Psycho_Mantis@MK64 wrote on 12/22/11 at 16:30:28:i just looked into here after seeing fenner wants to be removed.... i dunno whats wrong here dont have much infos but some things i have something to say:
- MK64 community forgives cheat0rz more "easy" `? -----wtf is that shit....
- wasnt fenner eyewittnessed by u guys ? what about the other geman champ Stellmacher, who did eyewittnessed him ???
- lots of players are no member of this boards.... so they have no idea what was going on....they only care about the rankings..
- who got the idea to get this decided by a VOTING....this is ridiculus and open gates for all the haters....
- i saw couple of fenners MKSC vids.... imo they were all legit, so for me (and hope for others too) it is ridiculus to remove the MKSC Champ just because some haters have issues from years ago...
- that all other Mario Kart times from fenner are removed too is a very bad thing too, this make the hole Players Page Rankings less representive....
Like Gaff said, you're a couple weeks too late, although thank you for posting. This issue has been going on for months and has been talked about throughout this community, so I have no idea how people still don't know. As I said before, the voting idea went through to encourage
everyone to speak up, not just the Fenner haters. There were several pro-Fenner people I spoke with that wouldn't publicly post; that gave them the outlet to speak their mind.
TellTale wrote on 12/23/11 at 09:54:26:There is STILL no official proof policy in place even after all of this! We are turning into a place about as credible as cyberscore as far as our "rankings" and how true to form they actually are. To imagine that this page can even hold a candle to a professional place like MFO is a funny dream.
Want an official proof policy on the site? Ask and you shall receive. Since it's been brought up now, I'll draft up something in the next week. (I have a small list of things that I need to do with the site over the next week that I intended to do two weeks ago and haven't yet.)
TellTale wrote on 12/23/11 at 09:54:26:Now it seems that there is an OFF LIMITS list on the mb! If you direct any sort of remark or accusation towards the likes of Mario86 or KVD you get yourself in deep water. It seems that the forum administration backs up this off-limits list. It seems to even extend as far as if you disagree (even respectfully) with the opinions of either of those two guys you get in trouble. What did they do to earn the power of basically being moderators and forcing their opinions, ideas, and decisions down all of our throats? Why are they off-limits to any kind of criticism. Why is shit like that enforced. Why do they have such clout and are allowed to blackmail us into submission??? Why are opinions opposite to theirs, shut down and locked away?
Show me where this off-limits list is? I'll tell you the exact same thing I told Mario86/KVD/etc when Gaff voted to allow Fenner back on -- you are more than welcome to remove your times if you hate the current system. No one is forcing you to stay on the site. I treat everyone equally, and if the same issue keeps getting brought up over and over, I'm going to look back into it, regardless of who brings it up. The current decision allows for another look at this in a year, when Fenner has had adequate time to establish trust with this community.
TellTale wrote on 12/23/11 at 09:54:26:Just like all of the great points people including myself made in the Terrence topic that was stickied last month. So many of those points were never even debated or rebutted. But what happened? The topic was locked and then a separate vote was held. Unbelievably April writes in her post, that none of the opinions in the pages upon pages of posts made in the Terrence topic would be considered! What a coincidence that most of those posts were very pro-Fenner, and the poll included in that thread overwhelmingly favored Fenner to be left alone on the players page.
Not only would I have had to go through that entire thread, I would have had to go through years worth of Fenner topics, which would have taken a long time and likely would have just been confusing. When I posted with my vote instructions, I told everyone to reiterate their point, be it through copy/paste or just rewriting it. Many opinions hadn't changed since each and every topic was created, so the opinions of those who voted reflected essentially what was posted in the threads.
