Mushroom have −0.5 land but +0.25 water speed compared to Red Monster, they also have less weight and less weight underwater = faster, they also take the shroomspot turn better on all 3 laps, which makes them overall better (or at least it’s very very close)

edit: sorry, I didn’t laugh enough at you “Mushroom is about as good as Standard tires, which I got 2:19.0xx with” LOL. no, Mushroom turn better and have 0.25 more land speed also less weight which makes them faster even underwater, and I got 2′17″002 with them on a shit run

This one can be chalked up to nerves mostly.  During my initial tests going right, I found it very difficult to get the blue MT out while still maintaining a tight line if I used the ramp.  I'm a little better at it now though, so it's something for next time I guess.

I think Blue 7 is better because it has better off-road, but I'm not sure.  Zucchini is also pretty good.  One of my previous PRs (1:36.639) was with Zucchini.  I didn't spend a lot of time trying with B Dasher.

Nice WR, Dused.  I think your 2nd lap beats my best split.  What are your best splits?  Did you make a vid?

Just an FYI to all players.

A guy in the IRC Chat known as "PMario" say that he can and will defeat or tie every record in this game.  He says that he is very good at the game and better than or equal to anyone on the players page.  He considers tighter turning to be a new strat, and his times are poor because he is not using those strats.  He also says the only reason his times are not already beating all of the WRs is because his technique (whatever he means by that) is flawed and his times are only close to optimized but not fully optimized.

Having been blown away by his ego, we asked him what some of his times were.  Those times were promptly beaten by many seconds with conservative first try runs by me and padz.

Other info - he is 21 years old and likes to rename and refer to courses by artsy fartsy names that he creates himself, and he uses "~~~" in his lines of text.  He has been in the irc for over 2 weeks, but has yet to find the time to improve or get a single pr.  Alas he says all wrs will be beaten or tied "in due time".

Just wanted to let you all know, this amazingly talented unbeatable, player is coming to destroy all of our records.
