It pails in comparison to what could have been with the fail I had a few minutes ago (check the fail runs topic for details).

I am very satisfied with the time. Last shroom was very poor and caused some good time for sure. Lap 1 was a little loose in spots. Otherwise very clean run.

i collect 9 coins in lap 1 as well
my time is 2:17.2
i always thought your strat was wrong
btw i would use soda jet as well if i had unlocked it

Not sure if it's the same shroom/coin strat he used, but it worked well enough for me. I tried the Soda Jet/Standard combo; it's easier to handle, but overall slower on every part of the track except the water tunnel, where it gains some time.
