alternatives:

Examples without a year will assume whatever the current year is -- be wary of this in the first update of January for December times.

Okay, all these new submission formats can be used now and are correct. But to avoid any confusion about which one is right and which one is wrong, we will suggest to use all the same one:

@TvK: Can you change the first post of the times updating thread?
And after that, I can ask Alex to change the Joining info page on the site.
