I watched your video and to me it seems that you always keep holding your drift, to be able to start your next drift before the mini turbo boost wears out. I suppose you do this because you find yourself slowing down every time you start to drift when you are not in a boost. But this is only the case when you already start to steer in the air.
So for drifting, you have to hold R what makes you hop first, and gives you a little air time. But of course you have to steer, otherwise you don't drift but only hop. The thing is: wait until the moment you land the hop to start steering. Because when you are already steering while in the air, you are losing speed.
It will take little practice to do these clean drifts, so you are not slowing down.
Once you are doing this properly, you can make a tighter run and have an even better time.
