It's useful to go slower ? Certainly not in TT...

Back on subject, did anyone actually try to race against a ghost driving in a straight line using the snaking technique? I see a lot of people talking about snaking possibilities in MK7 but no real proof of its
effectiveness
at the moment

Of course not! But we're not only talking about TT here.

I heard on a french thread that KC Shade said it's slower if you use the snaking technique. He apparently tested the snaking technique against a ghost, on a straight line.

I did and it seems to be really faster if well done indeed.

It seems that blue sparks appear slightly faster than in MKWii, but orange sparks hardly charge if you turn the stick in the opposite direction while drifting.
Don't know if this has already been said, but you can cancel the glider (press B) and cancel a trick boost (release A when landing = you won't get any boost, unlike in MKWii).
Cancelling the trick boost is so helpful, I already did it a few times by accident on BC this morning, a very nice fix from mkwii.
…was that supposed to be a joke?
Nope, some parts of BC are very tight, and when I tricked and was about to fall off, I let go off accelerate, and in mkwii you'd zoom off, but here it cancelled and I slowed down.
