Wrong. If that was the case, then people who studied the most time at school would excel beyond those who studied less, but this isn't always the case; nor is it numerous on occasion.

@mrnosey I know I made an obvious statement but I felt the point needed to be made because ppl seem to be throwing out name predictions with the notion that skill in one game necessarily translate to success early on in a game nobody has played before with different mechanics.

@jaws this statement that time spent will get results is my prediction based on the thread title for #1 overall player by january first. It is a short term goal and IMO time spent > "skill" which develops much later in the games lifetime. Opinions of course

Some names like this include: Cool Guy, Joe, Norway, Thurmos, Sword and so on. But your theory is obviously a plausible one.

And I just can't wait to know the names. But trying to guess this would be a bit disappointing to all the other players that are not in the list of names other people chose and I don't think it's really fair.

^I think most people who have the potential and proper mindset to begin with would only take his name missing as motivation (to prove himself), if anything. This is just a bit of fun... Don't really know what to guess on myself, haven't kept up with the scene for a long time, but hope that mk7 will change this

Especially in TTs it is more important what you actually accomplish than what people think you can accomplish/how good you are.

Edit: I guess Fried doing well if he gets the game is a good choice, afaik he always does pretty well?
