About MP, I tried to take 2 coins at the beginning but I wasn't fast enough to clip the note. I think he's using a pilar glider boost to gain the time required.

Assuming I'm right, then he has to use the right path when gliding, which means he has to go to the left on lap 2 which is obviously slower, all the more since it's not possible to get a pilar glider boost in that case. So ok, he'll save time because he has 8 coins but I'm not sure if that's actually faster.. AND that's utterly harder.

Forget what I said, in fact it's possible to get a glider pilar boost on the left part, even if the blue zipper is on the right.

That strat is actually faster but still harder.

This SMT seems too long to charge, maybe I'm doing it wrong but I almost need to do a 90 degrees angle with the wall on the left to get it.

what you mean? ticking is about hitting the wall, that’s normal, the added boost should still make it faster

With such an angle ticking doesn't seem usefull

The following isn't exactly a strat, but more of a personal tip.

There are a few places where I find it better, both in TT and in multiplayer, to hop some times to get the timing for the next drift... examples are: last/first DH straight; after the red MT at the first corner in the cave (RRM); after the three coins on the bridge on DH.

Am I the only one who hops to get the timing? Do you think that may make me lose time?

i did that on SGB for the first u-turn after the tunnel, got an awesomely tight turn every time Grin
