Where it is, is completely interwoven with the Fenner situation though. So discarding that as a possible discussion point seems to me as a counter productive idea if you want to get this place back to where it should be. Not trying to be a smartass, but it needs to be fixed somehow, otherwise it will be like that giant pink elephant in the living room that no one is talking about.

Anyway, whatever you do, I hope you will succeed in this overall goal.

Well, I had the idea that non-zzmt times may only be driven on a DS or GBA that is not modified and not able to produce ZZMTs. That was the basis on which I wanted to add the charts.

I could explain the whole system but I'm too lazy to type it up now. The sentence should explain it enough though.

That's why I wrote "with a DS/GBA which is not able to produce ZZMTs". In that point we'd just have to trust the players, but it would be the only possible and good solution that I could come up with. We're a trust based site anyway

When I play on my gba its non-zzmt but my dsl is zzmt, would i have to stipulate which machine i played on, or only play from one machine from now on?

I didnt use zzmt up to now but i might want to in the future..

Of course it's possible to distinguish, either you can do ZZMTs or you can't. If you can, you can't play non-zzmt with that device. I tried about 100 times to ZZMT with my DS or GBA and it won't work. If ZZMTs happen uncontrollable, then that's bad for you but you can't be on the charts.

I can't say I know for sure who's right now, I might be wrong, but the only thing I know for sure that my DS and GBA can't ZZMT, when I came up with the idea I tried like mad if I could pull off a ZZMT and it would not work. No matter how hard I pressed the D-Pad down. And The D-Pad of my DS is pretty worn out. There might be exceptions, but I doubt there are many.

Is is physically even doable to move your thumb that fast? I doubt it.

Okay, I got some site related ideas, I wasn't sure if Gaff has the time to deal with my ideas so here it is:

ZZMT/Non-ZZMT issues:

That issue has been around for such a long time, still nothing has been done. No new standards, neither seperate charts, because no one figured a way it could work out. Here's what I think could work out:

We include 2 charts on the site, one Non-ZZMT and one ZZMT. This rules apply:

1. Non-ZZMT times will also be included in the ZZMT charts, so they will not only include like 10 players, and high ranked non-ZZMT players have another motivation to beat ZZMT with non-ZZMT.

2. Non-ZZMT times are only allowed to be driven without any device that supports ZZMT. So modded GBAs/DS' would not be allowed to be played on for non-ZZMT. That would make it easier to distinguish between a time being non-ZZMT or pro-ZZMT.

3. Both sites are treated equally, also concerning the Combined ranks.

Also, I am in the process of making new set of standards for Non-ZZMT and ZZMT, so both charts will have their individual set of standards.

I'm open minded if my ideas are not able to be realized or if you have any suggestions for those things, they would be major changes, but seeing that MKSC still hasn't the reputation it should have(also because of Fenner atm) some changes would surely help the page get some more attention. Maybe someone with a hand for it could also make a new Design for the Non-ZZMT charts(or we might just give the page a brand new design, but I don't want to overdo things for now Grin Grin), but I just would like to get things going if they are possible. If we want good competative charts, we need to go that step imo and I would personally put much effort into that too.

I'd also like to speak with you/Gaff about it on MSN or somewhere else so we might get some other ideas about what to do before presenting things to the community and asking them for their opinion.

Some things might be overdoing, but that's basically what I had in mind. As I said, I'm open for discussion about the zzmt/non-zzmt thing but it's not easy to handle. I'm gonna think about it more, but it would be hard to come up with "rules" for non-zzmt for each track. Don't know, really...
