Not sure what you mean with gliders but

I only saw this guy claiming lap 1 is faster then the others on TV. I didn't really believed it als tbh. How he played was just horrible. Only I was impressed when he said that lap1 is the fastest lap, and saying that this is the first mk where lap 1 is the fastest. He knows his shit. Hmm, we'll know soon enough.

actually, thinking about it, it could make sense

if wide MTs charge much slower than in MKW, it might be impossible to charge red sparks on at least a few courses on lap2, and blue sparks could be slower than startboost since the boost is much shorter

dunno about Gliders, don’t forget Mihawk claimed they’re the same speed as driving on road (except when fastfalling IIRC)

Yes, glider runs at the same speed, but if you keep pushing up and then fastfall on finish line you gain a speed boost which is more than blue boost. Dunno if more than red boost.
