New to this game. Just curious if there is an unofficial list or videos of best known times on different tracks that were not done with barrel train.

Just want to see the limits of different karts. Am currently in a tt war with a friend who uses a medium kart and consistently beats my times every time i beat him.

If you are targeted with lightweights, my best bet is to use either Toadette Kart (TK2) or Toad Kart (TK) Wink
For middleweights: Green fire (GF)

or use Parade Car lol

^Agreed. Green Fire is a nice choice, because you can A-Tech with it and also get good boosts out of the MTs. I once did a 1'17 (or 1'18?) on LC with Green Fire after some tries... of course in my better days (60hz Cheesy).

I currently use barrel train because I'm a pro wannabe. Smiley

I've been playing for a week and my friend and I are competing for YC. It goes back and forth and I've been surprised that he keeps up with my ghosts and even beats me using the Green Fire.

What would some of the pros out there estimate the limit for Green Fire is on YC?

I currently have 1'52"575 after a week and he still keeps up with me.

I would say,, don't look to limits at this moment

just rebeat your friend over and over again and have some fun Smiley

In my opinion you are currently following the best strategy to get more skilled Cool

With another french player (Cedric Willo), we trained to have the best total & flap with EVERY kart on baby park. (we are both top20 on flap and 7lap)
The green fire was the 4th ( 1)BarrelTrain 2)Bill 3)Golden )
Don't remember our times, but i'm nearly sure that we were bot able to sub 1'06"000. So +1/+1.5 seconde more than barrel train. Probably not wrong that for YC, your time with green fire should stand (with same skill for both karts) between 1,5 and 2,5 more than barrel train.
I'll try with barrel train and try with green fire..

Marinous was right; your best way is to continue the challenge between you and your friend !! Smiley
