Having the PP up well before MK7 is released is good. It means I get to advertise the Youtube Channel. xD

I thought I saw somewhere that 10000 was the limit...don't remember for sure though. Maybe that was just a rumor.

I knew I forgot to mention something in my first post.
I've read somewhere that a player can quit a community by himself, but I have no idea if someone else (the administrator) can kick him out.
We can hope all the details about the community system will be revealed with early gaming reviews, otherwise we will have to test that out by ourselves (as in the Europeans in our situation) before creating the community.

I like this idea, I would take part in this community. I may not get a 3DS till around February though.

I'd have to see how the game works to see which items I would consider unfair. If dodging blue shells isn't possible I would say no blue shells, it's always annoying when the 2nd best player wins, because the worst player keeps throwing blue shells at the best player.

I think if you have times submitted for any MK on this site you should be able to join the community.

From a game reviewer at NeoGAF :

Quote:
You can set a logo (pre made ones only), enter a name and description, choose between racing (50, 100, 150CC or Mirror) or the two battle modes and which items are available when racing (All, Shells, Bananas, Mushrooms, Bob-Ombs, None). No individual toggling for each item.

The communities are really more like rooms.

You join a community pre race lobby and can send out pre fabricated messages like the types of "OK!" or "LET'S RACE!". Noone is in charge of the community/room it seems, and I'm guessing the first one to join an empty one is made the operator (handing it down to the next one when he/she leaves).

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=32997169&postcount=235

We have now a rough idea about what to do.

The options are limited but I feel it will be heaps better than in MKW :
- No hackers
- No complete noobs
- No freaking 50/100cc mode
- The 100-friend limit is virtually removed
- No more the need to set up new rooms everytime we want to play
- A no-item option will be available, and the other item set-ups can still be fun
- We can compare our times directly online, and can keep tracks of who the best racers of the group are.

Since there won't be any moderator we'll have to be careful with the handling of the community code to avoid cheaters coming in. Tongue

This sounds really exciting.

Would this room be open 24/7, with the hope that no matter what the time, there'll still be people online willing to play?

Highlighted bit makes it sound like there are only these specific options.

really nice to see the no-item feature, will give the online mode a much bigger interest imo (if it ends up being very random with items)

I believe you can join up to 8 communities? Or at least that what I remember hearing from the Nintendo Conference videos.

-EDIT-
Reference. They say you can create and use up to 8 communities.

That's a very good thing then.
But if there are more than 8players online in the same community, will we be able to create 2 different rooms in the same community and play in the one we choose?

Online works; I've played some WiFi. I don't know how this community business works exactly, though. I can't see any others, I can only enter a code or create one, so I thought I'd see what happened if I started one.

It looks like we all agree on having our own community for members of the players page, and I know that some people here have already made other communities.  If anyone is interested, I think we should make a seperate topic that includes the information for each community that we create.  It would include the name/title of each community, the community codes to join them, and the rules are for each one (similar to the topic RRD made, but it would include every single one).  This way we wouldn't have a topic for every community.  Any thoughts?

If enough people like the idea, I'll make the topic.
