Also... If the player has some interesting comment worth reading. Let him write that comment like everyone writes comments to videos. If it is very special/interesting then perhaps it could be added to the description. But we don't need to have a dedicated comment sections in the video description, trying to get players comments on every record they make.

For the record, I can probably get significantly better quality than Greenalink, up to 720p (1080 is available but I'd need to upgrade my desktop for it to be smooth). I still need to set up a recording rig, but it should be doable.

If I can get it set up, I could definitely record stuff. Got nothing better to do for the first two months of release lol

I didn't even notice the spaces after the quotes.

Here's a new revision. Some parts like Splits can be omitted towards the beginning when the WR changes incredibly often.
I need a symbol instead of "to" after the first date, or it would take me forever to notice that there's two separate dates. (Coding did this to me)

Well I asked if someone else could do it because I cannot create another channel nor another e-mail address and I don't know why. There could have been a problem if he didn't want to be involved with the recording but that doesn't seem to be the case. Anyway at the moment he desires to retire he can give the channel to someone else. This is exactly why I demanded that an e-mail address was created expressely for this project, so that it essentially belongs to the volunteer members of this community.

Cool. I was looking for an Australian recorder eventually. I don't think anything more than 720p will be necessary at this stage, and for a portable game.

I think at the beginning of next month, we could seriously start setting up properly the channel and maybe, as someone suggested, make a video presentation of the channel concept (I'd suck at doing such video though, I'd certainly need some help if we'd go that way). Anyway so far only Flo has access to the channel for the time being.

Although I may not be that good with the artsy-fartsy presentation/introduction type video either, I think it's a good idea, and I'd be glad to help to brainstorm and discuss ideas for it.

It really isn't important. Though we'd probably have to leave a note if the only recorder for a region retired.

: doesn't mean "to", but it does a good job at separating the two dates without being as obtrusive as =>. We could use - as an alternative, it's commonly used in place of "to". I just have a problem with separating phrases with words, as symbols makes the separation much easier to find.

doesn't matter who I am.

greenalink has a modded DSphat which lets him directly record both screens on that. the only way to record the 3ds screen is with whatever nintendo uses to make their trailers, which is more likely just the development kit rather than an actual 3ds mod.

in terms of video quality... I've got some videos on http://www.youtube.com/user/Qgstkpnjtp of mkw recorded with my camera at 480p, and I have an audio cable to record the 3ds sound directly. the only problem with my camera is that it's a webcam and has a very large field of view, so even though I'd be recording in 720p it'd be somewhere between 480 and 720.

I've just done a very short description ftm so there's still a lot of things to do. I think 1 or 2 designers would be good for the beginning. We could discuss about what picture(s) you want to include for the background. and all the things related to design (I'm not a specialist).

I won't have much free time in the next two weeks but I should be able to do something for the description, playlists, and also advertise the channel a bit.

Fot the design I don't how the new channel layout works yet. Some ideas of design are a mosaic of images from the 32 tracks of the game, or something else using the official art available.
