As I stated the point for the moment was that someone with authority might read this and sees my point, then puts on the MK7 site that any Hacks are forbidden and everyone's happy.

Also, it's for Future rule discussions so I agree, for the moment there's not much to discuss apart from what I mentioned. Can't understand why my thread already gets ruined by people who're not reading properly

This game will be full of idiots, just like MKW. More so b/c of the existence of mkwii.com where 12 yr olds can gather and mutate and create monstrosities like paco, for instance.

Anyway, any texture hack or music hack or any kind of hacking of any sort should be 100% banned right from the get go. I think separate charts should be made from the start as well. As for which should be main, should just follow whatever the other karts did. I wasn't around for any of that, only you older peeps would know.

Not really. When glitches come out, not every single player goes and tries to get a good glitch time, although a lot do, some don't, and in fact prefer to play no-glitch (especially now the charts are here).
Some people glitch early on to get into regional or ww tops, I accept, but soon afterwards once the heat has died down, people really only glitch to get good AF rankings.
For example, the only reason I'd play glitch now is to get good AF - except for maybe MG, I haven't got a realistic chance of making it into any european or ww tops, and I don't particularly enjoy racing glitch, hence I'd like non-SC to be main, although I accept that's not going to happen.

Lastly, as I briefly mentioned before, when the pp (and the German site) got non-sc rankings, many people including myself went and made no-glitch times, imo because they prefer to race non-sc, but had not too much of an incentive to do so beforehand.

First at all, let's hope no SC is discovered... Roll Eyes

IMHO the best idea would be to create a list of what rules we should follow, taking advantage of previous MKDS and (mostly) MKW situations. Then we would discuss every point, possibly without flaming. I'll try to make a list of important points tomorrow if you think that's fine, it would surely help to make things more clear. It seems like we're discussing about a lot of stuff without going anywhere at the moment, I think it's best to analyze the important stuff with the aid of a list.

Have both. SC charts have 300-400 players on them per track. What does the PP have? 150?

I also think we should be more proactive about nonsc charts if/when a glitch is released.
