Hey guys,
I hope you can help me with my a-tech skills.
I could probably improve by myself just by driving, driving, driving...but I guess having experts like you guys taking a look at it is much easier.

I´ve watched Benoit's tut vids a thousand times in slowmo and it feels like my hands do just the same as his do, but still my A-tech couldn´t be farther away from what it should look like.
My cart always slides all over the place from one side of the bridge to the other...and to be honest it looks more like a poorly executed SSMT although I keep releasing R and A at the same time. (I release and re-press A and R simultaneously, if that matters)

I´ve recorded two vids me doing (or at least trying) A-tech...I know it´s diffucult to give an error analysis without seeing my hands.
Maybe you can find a major error I´m making just by watching the cart's movements.

I'm not sure why there's not even a hint of A-tech, considering releasing A and R simultaneously should result in swerving in the opposite direction. Maybe I've been retired for too long to remember what other factors may play a role.
I will say this though: your MTs look rather slow. What is your rank? You shouldn't be concerned with A-tech until you reach Hero or Expert at least. First you need good and fast MTs. If you combine bad MTs with bad A-tech you're going to be all over the place.

Ah nice, a german karter trying this game, always nice to see Smiley

I can tell you just by watching that you will never get a single good A-Tech MT if you don't space your MTs out. You're doing the following MTs way to fast, let them work a bit, and your MTs should give you speed advantage AND a a lot better driving line! Believe me Wink

P.s.: Where in germany do you live? Maybe close to me, and we could do a little meet Wink

Yeah well....I have no rank and tbh I´m not planning to get one either. Time trialing would be too time consuming, time which I simply don´t have atm.

I enjoy playing MKDD with three mates of mine and since they know nothing about all these techniques I just want to own them in versus mode Cheesy

But thx for your tips, both of you! So I´m gonna work on my MT speed and slow down between each of them Cheesy

I´ll keep you up to date concerning my progress.

@chris: it´s still quite a bit, I´m from Schwäbisch Gmünd...des wird also schwär Tongue

Especially since you are a pro and I started last week.

Iam still on a level where i can improve my PR´s with more than a second in less than 20 minutes per course but i know that it´ll be harder in the future.
