Japanese MKSC Site Updating
09/09/11 at 19:37:15

    The Japanese website is basically like the PP for Freestyle SC and Non-SC Times. It is ran, owned, and updated by マンダー (Mander / Hirano). Most tracks have as many as 300-400 people on the rankings. However, in the recent years, updating has slowed down, as Mander does not know much about the newer players, and the times have to be manually updated, meaning that if he does not know of the time, then it won't appear on the charts. The whole website is in Japanese, minus the names of the players (unless their names are in Japanese). The rankings, of course, need to be as accurate as possible, and the additions of the newer times (even those of the PP players, SC or not) would help accomplish this. Therefore, if you would like to leave a submission, feel free to post an update submission. The charts only cover the 20 GBA track 3laps; this is because the Japanese originally only played the times that you could save a ghost on, which are the 20 GBA Track 3laps. Once at least 1/20 times are submitted to the timesheet, a profile will be created. All times missing will be replaced with the time that the game puts into the top5 per each track before the track is played. It would be greatly appreciated if the submission looked the same as in this post (you can just copy/paste the submission form), though this is not totally necessary; it just saves a lot of time, work and stress.

Mario Kart WEB Ranking

SC Rules: Anything allowed; lapskips, ticking, tricking, etc. However, GameShark, etc., is strictly prohibited.

NSC Rules: Lapskips & tricking forbidden. GameShark, etc., is strictly prohibited.
*NSC stands for Non-SC, a common Japanese term for Freestyle Non-Shortcut.

A typical submission would look like this (leave out the courses that you already have on the website):

[Insert name here] (Insert nickname (if any) here) - [Insert home page (i.e. a direct link to a YouTube Channel)]

If a NSC time is the fastest time accomplished, submissions for NSC tracks should look like this:

02 / 02_NSC
タイム:
キャラクター:
--------------------------------------------------------
Translation:

Course names are left out, as it is very tiresome to translate them to Japanese many times over; instead, they are replaced with numbers 1-20. These are in order from Peach Circuit - Rainbow Road.

01                             →                  Peach Circuit
タイム:                         →                Time:
キャラクター:                 →               Character:

02_NSC                     →                  Shy Guy Beach (NSC)
タイム:                         →                 Time:
キャラクター:                 →                Character:

Character Name Translations:

クッパ = Bowser
キノピオ = Toad
ドンキー = DK
ルイージ = Luigi
ピーチ = Peach
マリオ = Mario
ワリオ = Wario
ヨッシー = Yoshi

--------------------------------------------------------

Times will be updated as soon as possible.

*Note: Please do not attempt to submit times that are not fully filled out (i.e. 0'50"6X). Times are eventually checked to see if they are possible, so trying to lie about a time will not work.

Even if people don't request, the times will be submitted regardless; this is just to hopefully speed up the process.

Players submitted (by me) so far:
Terrence Fenner (T-Man)
ルパ (Rupa)
Christian Wild (ChraiZy)
Mickael Smolen (Superyoshi1karter)
Andy Lundeen (NStride)
Sebastian Stellmacher (Boom3r)

Spending one day learning katakana  (one of  the three japanese charsets) is very usefull... you can read many things related to videogaming and technology since Japaneses write it in english using katakana.
