It's just for MKDS, and right now it's sending emails to me. Pretty boring looking but it works. I might add more to it if I feel like it. I've done very little testing so it might have some problems.

I'll have it send to the yahoogroups if someone tells me it's ok.

I just tried this without entering any times and pressed submit and then send e-mail, wondering when I need to type in my e-mail to log in yahoogroups, but it said e-mail sent.., so did that work because I was already signed in to my yahoogroups e-mail and your webpage recognised that somehow?

Mick's idea is interesting. It would allow us to have more players and people would be prompted to send times in instead of feeling "forced".
On the other side, there would be many typos, and possibly cheats, even with a group of times checkers. It's also better to have a database of all times that aren't on the site anymore, which is what yahoogroups lets you do. This is particularly useful to news writers: it's just like being a historian, you have to check old times and compare them with the new ones, and you can do that only with the help of a database.

I like Mick's idea, but it needs a database in my opinion. Take a look at cyberscore, it works suprisingly well and it is very similar to Mick's idea -- it is updated automatically, people check and report times if they don't look legit, there is a database for all previous times/scores.

I do admit that I used a lot the yahoogroups to write my news update (and that was my only source when the charts weren't resetted or were reseted too early). However I've heard there is a program which tracks the progress of all the players on MKSC over the weaks, but I have never seen it... we could definitely build such thing for this game, and make it keep track of ALL data.

Nice stuff. We would only need some design and we would have a good starting point ! Though I didn't test it myself since I don't have any times to send.
