In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda, Super Mario 3DS is getting a special Zelda themed level. Kotaku has more info and a short clip on that. So that got me thinking... mk3ds also comes out this year, so they might do a similar Zelda tribute in mk3ds.


Would you want a zelda tribute in mk3ds? If so, what would you want to see?

I'm a huge Zelda fan, so I'd love it. However it shouldn't be too big that it changes the feel of the game, nor too small that it's meaningless.

A Zelda themed track would be awesome imo! I'd like to see them pick 1 game and design the track through the main area(s) of that game. Any console game since Ocarina of Time works for me. Then, include some Zelda music and scenes/characters/enemies from the game so it feels more alive.

A track based on Wuhu Island (which is from Wii Fit, Wii Sports Resort, and Pilotwings Resort) is in mk3ds, so Nintendo has already started including tracks from games outside the Mario world. So I don't think a Zelda track would be too crazy of an idea. Also, creating tracks based on other games could help add some variety to the tracks too.

Make Epona a kart choice.

MTing would be so much fun.

I'm still wondering if Nintendo will ever go the Super Smash Bros route and just incorporate characters across all franchises into the MarioKart series. It seems far-fetched, but I wouldn't doubt it in the future to spice up the series a bit.

Id like to race as a goomba.

I don't dislike the idea of having tracks and characters from different games in MK3D, but they must fit the MK world. The Blue Falcon and ROB were good additions, but having Samus on a kart wouldn't be a good idea. The DKCR-themed track seems kinda promising though, so I think Nintendo will do their job right if they decide to implement other characters in this game.
