I'm starting updating the first post with the chart
I even tried RMC1 ticking lap and badly failed (got 6"3x
)... the main reason is that going frame by frame makes you loose the feeling with your driving.

VBA is by far the best emulator for the job, seeing as you can go as low as 1 frame per 3 seconds.

OR you can do the thing proper TASes do, and do the entire run frame by frame using frame advance. Slowdown doesn't do a TAS justice.

You can do frame by frame in VBA lol.
Or were you just stating another (better) option?

i did everything frame by frame.
It's not boring because, when input variation is not needed, you can you hold the frame by frame button unitl you reach the frame number you want.

Hey, can you do RGV3 spin SC, and shroom at the end, and see if you can get a last lap of 0'00"20?
If you can, then Hirano's time is beatable by "02...

[TAS] SNES MC1 Flap 05"97
Bad run, bad last corners, but I'm too lazy to improve it.

Nice.
Updated.
Do you think my feeling about Luigi being the best charater for this job is right?

Yes. Luigi handles the best, which is very important for this flap.
edit - Is there any easier way to do frame-by-frame? I need to hold down Ctrl+N to advance to the next frame, which is a problem, as I don't have 3 hands. Any advice?
edit 2 - Wait, nevermind. I'm going to try using "Customize All Commands" and see if that helps at all.

Nice TASes. I would like to see what can be done on Sky Garden. I bet it can sub 44, maybe even sub 43.

I'll attempt SG. ^^
Though as I'm not very good yet, it will probably be more like a prelim TAS. You kinda have to get used to this, because you have absolutely no feeling to the race at all when you're going frame-by-frame.. which is why my MC1 TAS was done on 15% speed and had only 3 savestates, when it should have had at least 3 more.

PC? If I had to guess I'd say that sub-43 is possible.

I'm pretty sure that sub-43 would be possible without ticking.

BC1 flap TAS: 10"78, can probably do a high 10"6x.
Ticking 3/3 is way faster than 2/3.

Been digging through NicoVideo and found that Su did a Rainbow Road TAS.
Time: 0'34"43 [11"83 / 11"35 / 11"25]
Mediocre TAS, to say the least, but he did majorly improve the bounce section before the zippers.
