A lot of forums have this where it gives you an option to report a post or thread to a moderator. These buttons are useful for posts that are obvious spam, naked or inappropriate pictures, virus's, robot spam, etc. Most allow the user to input a comment or note as well. It could be abused but if someone is abusing it obviously the mod will know who that person is and will be able to stop them. It would be useful for removing very bad stuff quickly before other people can see or click on it.

A report button does sound like a good idea, as pretty much every forum I visit has it. However I think it would be abused by some people who want to mess up / annoy the mods, or have hatred towards other members. And as pointed out above we have pretty much at least 1 mod around on this forum to somewhat prevent bad posts (that is, if the mods are doing their jobs, of course).

Also, restrict the list perhaps to only the moderator of each section? Or is this not possible the way YaBB is built?

I think PMing is enough. We have enough mods where there isn't really a point to it, as others have already stated it would get to a point where people would just annoy moderators with it.

Global mods and admins can handle everything, and sectional mods are almost always on. Plus, the only spot where this would be necessary is MKW/MK3DS, and Meade and I have that handled pretty well I think.
