I kinda upgraded the GCN controller stick and still no victory
I replace the original stick to the GameStop version
It may take a while to repair fully...but atleast I can motivate some ppl on the site like Dennis, Daniel, Zack and hopefully the top 5 USA ppl and Chris Wild
i hope i get the POM of January

listen homie
I played 64 and DD at the same damn time and i upload both 64 and DD vids on YouTube from time to time and @ the same time let alone the SC and eventually DS...You can work on Double Dash too and take the lead to the top-15 and i don't want to see zero people active! Don't just quit playn MKDD unless if your controller broken, i dnt care if you're tired
U CAN'T GIVE UP SIR
I have a dream...I dream to be at the top-50 before 2012 and top-15 before 2017
and the only reason i give up now is because my controller's broken. U can still do this!
I got faith on you C-dowg

^I also work on SMK, MKW and MK64 at the same time... but really, DD is a game i can't play just after a 5 month break of serious playing and be as good as i was 5 months ago... i need a lot of time to reach my old potential, and i don't want to do this again... in the past, where i just played MKDD my potential was somewhere in the TOP10, but nowadays.. if i would pick it up now and submit my current times I would be soemthing like #200
oh and btw: My controller doesn't react correctly to my left motions, so the left facing MTs are hard to load in 60hz... 50hz is not my style, so, another reason why i won't play this game again. My goal is it atm to reach TOP30 SMK, TOP25 MK64 and TOP100 MKW, then i can finally quit MK... xD

This is wrong. Let me give myself as example : I stopped mkds back in Nov 07 and cameback
3 years later
in Nov 2010. 2 days later I had already pr'ed (very slight improvements), in a week or so, I was beating my pr's on my weakest tracks by a nice amount. Then as weeks pass, I just kept pr'ing, got 2 pows let alone a pom. All you need is motivation and you can come back better than you ever were.

^Sry but you can't understand that. Play MKDD at a high level and believe me, your mind just tries to tell you after every fail run: "Stop. Stop it." The more I try to comeback here, the more frustating it will be after every single try... even when I can get a run near to my potential, I don't have the ability to stay cool as i was able in the past... really, even as i tried to hit DDD flap GOD (which turned into WR to this time), I was not a tiny bit nervous, not a little bit... when i watch at me now, i just see a guy who is fucking scared when he reaches lap 3 of an awesome run, and fucks up an simple MT every n00b would get. It's just not possible. TOP20 is enough, anyway, so why should I care, or someone else

Couldn't agree more with you mr. Wild,, in the past I had no problems with playing a few hours without getting any PRs.. but last times I played I wanted results right away, and got frustrated after 10mins already

I understand you Chris, I'm just like you when it comes to 3rd lap, I start to shake like a little bitch out of nervousness lol. I can't say you how much CR 3laps I missed on mkds WS because of that, but eventually you'll get the run you were looking for. You don't need to look back at how you messed it up, if you want a good time, then you need 3 things : patience, skill and taking risks without regrets. And sure, sometimes you need to take a break and leave it as it is, then comeback the next day if you really want to beat that pr, it's all about motivation and perseverance.

I just have to respond on this XD .. How is it possible to get nervous xD It is Mariokart, a game! .. Never understood that.. just don't give a shit about the run before you finish the run.. For me it goes like.. I just drive the run.. I am not nervous at all but then at the end it turns out to be a pr I am realllllly happy

Only MK where i am not a little bit nervous is SMK
maybe because it's the only MK i don't listen music to...
@Masterluigi: Yeah of course i could still PR, but i really need motivation + a strong thumb^^ I mean, when I'm nervous my thumb is soft like pudding, can't do the motion very well... SMK (and MKDS) is better, there you just have to press left/right/left/right/left and so on, easier to load imo ^^
Well, i don't know, maybe I will find some motivation in the future... Kouider was a true legend for me, I'm sad about the fact he stopped playing...........

LOL, ok, sry T-Man, i just watched the MKDD news right now and saw, not a single member was active (apart from you). Now i know why you opened the topic

.
Yeah but it is pretty sad that MKDD has no one active. The Site Champ race was so active just a few months ago, why did it die off?

Kouider stopped. Reason: he became site champ and got most WRs of all. he told me that were his goals... he said after he reaches these goals he will stop playing, even if someone else will get #1.
Andreas came and got some WRs, don't really know, but he said some time ago that he isn't motivated when no one really fights with him at the top. I can understand it, without a rival you don't have motivation (mostly
)...

Yeah I could see if you're at the top and don't have much to gain you have little motivation.
Me, I'm always somewhere in the middle of the field, so I just make a rivalry with the people around me and try to become #1 in it. But yeah, time to turn on MKDD and see what I can do. Don't want to fall back in to the 700s.

)
