Only if they did it properly, which is unlikely. Chances are in a few weeks everyone will use the same character, same kart, same wheels, same glider.

Ridiculous when one of them is speed. Also if the off road is severely fucked up like in MKW then it'll be just as irrelevant.

Previous MKs were fine with character stats. In fact only MKDS (and sort of MKDD) didn't have specific stats for characters stats.

Anyway :
- If you're talking about time trial, four characters share the highest speed stat, and it is possibly that they aren't even the most suitable in some tracks (for example tracks with many tight turns... I'm just speculating but we will be in the experimentation period for a while
- If you're talking about wifi, character stats never really mattered and never gave a significant advantage (it's just that MKWii was full of stat whores). Now that they removed standstill mini-turbos and evened the mini-turbo duration, acceleration can become revelant and since several character + kart combinations are possible we should see more variety of character usage online.

Really nothing to get mad about...

MK7 is great fun

I got the game this morning, and hav eonly had time for one hour so far, going back to school now.
Did first cuop on 50cc- 1st place easily
did cups 2-4 150cc, only came 2nd on last cup by one point, and fell off RR a gazillion times.
Only remembered to try 3d when I got to BC, it really is amazing to play with.
Snaking is easy, and can be done with all karts, easiest way to mt quick is to go left and right a lot, so hard into the turn for a bit, then ease off, then on again etc., and the mkwii strat of counter drifting will be very helpful.
I'm sure I had more to say, but I'm late, I'll play a lot more later, bye Wink
