So, what's new with this sequel ?

- Karts are now equiped with gliders on their back, which will allow controlled flying above the road for some distance, by going over special blue ramps. Racers also have the abilty to go underwater on specific tracks portions, offering twicked driving mechanics.

- Coins on the tracks make their return from SMK and MKSC. They will be used to unlock new parts to customize your karts !

- Karts will be customisable, with a consequence choice of cars, tires and gliders, affecting the stats of the vehicle.

- The game will support the gyroscope included in the 3DS system for a completely new first-person view racing experience !

- Of course, online and wireless playing modes will be available, and will support a maximum of 8 players, both in local and through Nintendo WFC, all running at 60fps even with 3d activated. Matchs are even made easier with the integration of communities, running with special custom rules, you can create and/or join. You can be part of 8 communities at best, but the communities can have an infinite numbers of players !

- Furthermore, other online and wireless features make their appearance. You can now race of the Grand Prix modes the Mii's of other players you have passed by via StreetPass, to unlock new kart pieces they could possess. You can also challenge some of the time trials ghosts of the players you've met via StreetPass or provided by SpotPass with daily downloads. Up to 7 ghosts can be raced at the same time !!

- And obviously, new tracks, characters and items !

IIRC the first pics I saw of the game included bikes already, but I might be wrong.
IMO the bikes will be a one game thing like karts with 2 characters per kart in MKDD.
Personally I wouldn't like to see bikes again as it looks already close to MKW (unless they made both vehicles balanced, which I doubt Ninty will be able to do.

By the way, this thread could make a good sticky for the time being so we can have easy access to any news (I would be unstickied after the actual game release)

^ This. There has always been glitches in kart games, but from what I can see the tracks seem quite large so it could prevent a good amount of huge SC's in the game.

It definitely won't be playable on DS. No 3DS games should be playable on DS, that'd be like DS games being playable on GBA, or Wii games on GCN, etc...if all systems had forward compatibility, we'd never get new systems!

Removing all glitches from any game is pretty much impossible, so those who want a glitchless game, dream on.

At least I hope that mk3ds does not have ultra sc glitches, I hope they have learnt from MKW :/

Considering those kind of SC was possible in MK64, no... They haven't learnt.

We can just hope for a deeper debugging than MKWii.

^The Scs in MKDD and MKDS were minor really. I wouldn't care too much if it was just small SCs (of course it would be better if there wasn't) it's the game breaking SCs that really put me off MKW

Well we know there will be some form of SC's. Just as long as they're not game breaking.
