So it's not quite the end of 2010 yet, but I figured now would be a good time to start taking suggestions for POY. Who do you think should get it and why?

Edit (2 Jan 2011): The official decision will be made on 16 January. In the meantime, vote in the poll -- this will determine who gets POY 2010

Based on awards and shit I could find readily...

#1 Sebastian Stellmacher, still world champ (54/80 WRs, 2 POM, 4 POW)
#2 Mickael Smolen, still runner up (2 POW)
#7 Guilherme Arantes, started around top 30 (1 POQ, 2 POM, 3 POW)
#8 Stacy Needham, started around top 40 (1 POQ, 2 POM, 7 POW)
#28 Kevin McAteer, started around top 40 (1 POQ, 2 POW)
#39 Tom van Kessel, started around top 60 (1 POQ, 2 POM, 4 POW)

Plenty of other players made decent cuts this year but this is the cream of the crop.  It's hard to be active year round on this game, trust me.  I have a hard time seeing anyone else who was active win over these gentleman.  Shout outs include Florian, Alencar, Alan, and Daniel because although we only moved up a spot or a few over the course of the entire year they were damn good personal and world records.

Why?

Seb remains the only player that utilizes zzmt and can hold his own without it, also RR 3lap.
(I just show up year round and rape the records, lolol)

Mick keeps second place despite all the haphazard zzmt users below.
(I'm probably not in the running but the fact I'm still 2nd is crazy)

GAS sort of stopped by and played with zzmt, with good results.
(Active Summer/Fall and pushed Seb and others on his way to top 10)

Stacey sort of stopped by and played with zzmt, with good results.
(Active Fall and pushed Seb and others on his way to top 10)

Kevin was the next highest player to earn awards for the cuts he made.
(Active on and off year round but best non-zzmt cuts below Mick)

Tom van Kessel is the best of the rest.
(Don't Hessel with him!)

Probably going to come down to activity over the year versus % strength of improvements.

This game isn't exactly the busiest mk but whenever Tom decides to weigh in on this is when any official decision will be made.

Lol @ Etch mentioning me, I definitely don't deserve to be in the same sentence as the big guns.  

Anyway, in my opinion, it's easily between Stacy and Guilherme. Stacy cut more from frther back along the way, but Guilherme still finished ahead of him. They both also hit many records as well, but at the end of the year (or for now at least), Guilherme has 4 vs. Stacy's 1 lone record.

Looks like it's going to be a tough one.

I've been following the MKSC year off and on, and I'd have to say Stacy or Seb. Seb because of his great RR WR and continued dominance, or Stacy because he came out of nowhere and grabbed a few WRs along the way.

Ended up voting for Stacy for the huge cut.

The choice is obviously Chuck Foster. He did PR a few times.

I'm having a hard time deciding between Seb and Stacy. Seb is just ridiculous at this game. It's even a surprise that he only has 1 POY award. This makes me want to vote for him, but at the same time Stacy popped in and was like HEY GUYZ LOL and totally raped.

Ideally, I'd like to give Seb a "Player of the Game" award worth 50 points, then give the POY to Stacy. I really can't decide, though.  

Ok, I promissed I'd play to try to get this award, but there is no way I could be ahead of Stacy or Seb.
But my vote would go to Stacy, he crushed the rankings and even though he finished right behind me, he deserves it the most.

Btw, I've been away for some time because I had to finish my graduation project (it's done now, my grade was 9/10), so I can say I graduated (even though the ceremony will only take place in february...)... Also there were some health problems with my girlfriends family and I had to stay with her (I guess that's what boyfriends are for )...

Anyway, I'm free to play now, but I kinda lost the pace and the passion. It'll come back eventually, and I hope it will last long enough so I can achieve my goals (top 5) and maybe get the POY (an award I never got...). MKSC gave me my first POQ and I hope it'll give me my first POY!

Well, both Stacy and Seb winning would be very well deserved. I'd give a split POY though, since both guys achieved GREAT feats...
