I was kind of mulling this idea over in my mind for a little bit.

Is there any way where a standardized system of ARR could be developed across all games, so you could see your ARR rating across all MKs? I know it seems kind of random and probably wouldn't work at all, but it would be pretty awesome if there was a way to get it to work.

Just something I was thinking about. Smiley

I prefer standards above AF and other ranks anyway since they can't fluctuate and are totally based on your own performance.

Not as silly as the rest of you seem to think. Depending on what we think the best scaling is, assign each track 1 point. So MKDD would have 32 points available. To score 32 points you would need a God +10 on each track. If I had 1 time submitted to MKDD and it was a God (+0) BP Flap, that beats 32 of the 42 total standards on that course, 32/42 = .762 of a point. For MK64 if I had only 1 time as well and it was a King B LR 3lap, that time beats 49 of 61 total standards for that track, making 49/61 = .803 points for that track.

Since the various games have different numbers of tracks, we could scale so each game is worth the same amount of points. So a person with perfect ARR in every game would have 600 total points (100 per game) instead of ~200 total points (1 per track). In this example I'd have .762*(100/32) + .803*(100/32) = 4.89 points on the Combined ARR ladder (out of a possible 600).

Bump!
Just an other suggestion and I didn't want to create a topic for that...

I think this site needs a better research toolbar...
Like for example when we look for a topic in the general discussion and we know it has "mafia" in its title or "swimming" we could just write that word in the search bar and they would find us the topics that have this word in the title.
I know we already have something like this but I was just looking for a topic which I recalled about youtube's changing and I wrote the word "youtube" and I ended with a search of all the last POSTS which included the word "youtube"...

I think it's a good idea as we now have a lot of topics in some particular boards and it's getting really difficult to look for a precise topic.
What do you think?
