Hi I thought of this idea which might be fun and educational! With the recent spark in activity in MKDD I figured I might as well see if I can get more people (re)interested with a new idea.
Do you ever get that weird feeling when driving a lap or watching a video where you feel like the lap was smooth/good/no big mistakes but the time is disappointing? I will try to analyze a video of (preferably) a subtop player where the subtle timelosses lie. Please send me a video that meets (most of) the following criteria:
- Race looks better than the time (for example you only see about 1 second worth of mistakes on a mushroom bridge 3lap where the time is 1'19'7 and you're wondering where the other ~0.5 second went)
- Video is of reasonable quality (videos with skipping frames or really ugly picture quality are often too messy for in-depth analysis)
- Please ask the person who got the time if he's ok with it being reviewed.
- Time/skill level of video doesn't matter too much, but would prefer at least Titan level times. The quicker the time the fewer mistakes, so the more subtle/less basic but also harder to understand the analysis will be.
Disclaimer: I haven't played MKDD in freaking ages, however I always felt I was a better player in theory than in practice. This might help some players who struggle to get up the ranks to fix some of the things they're consistently doing wrong.
(I do have some videos in mind in case nobody has good examples)
If this picks up and people enjoy it (and I enjoy it) I might do more than one, but let's just give it a try for now

Post your submissions here, and please include a downloadable link so I can edit the video etc.
