A strong SC run is 7-8 seconds. Sounds like you might have just skipped around the start and got some random SC PR.

Right, yeah. So my best lap is 3"45, but when I went through my times and submitted them, I saw that one and thought it looked like it was clearly SC so I quickly did another run and got 7"74.

The 28"81 3lap time wasn't immediately obviously SC to my uninitiated eyes, although in hindsight I should've realised that an SC lap might mean the 3lap time was SC too.

...Basically I've got in a bit of a mess here.

Nah it's just a simple misunderstanding. You may want to try keeping a Google Doc spreadsheet of your PRs, so you don't get them mixed up (here's an example of how I set mine up, if you're wondering why it helps:

on CCI in of my runs i did a few weeks ago, where the first shroom spot is, directly right next to the gap on either the left or right of it, i jumped the wall in one of my prs, is this allowed?, i did this by complete accident btw.

edit:

it was on the 3lap, but i cant remember which pr it was, but i have since demolished the 3lap today without doing this.

Ben, when I updated the times, I got a couple messages saying something was slower - could you check your timesheet, find the errors and lack of updating what you were trying to update, and send a message to the Yahoo Groups? my new non sc 3lap on CCI is 1:05:45

and the CCI sc lap is 0:13:63, whatever the non sc lap i submitted recently is my correct lap.

Don't be embarrassed. Literally almost everyone makes that mistake on cci.

Woops, I didn't mean it that way man, sorry. I thought I was the one who had screwed up updating your times - I didn't check to see what course/flap had been changed. If I had bothered to check that, I wouldn't have said anything. And seriously, don't worry, like Ethan said pretty much everybody has done this at some time. It's a rather obscure rule.

As for the secret updater, I sure as shit know who it isn't...

I fixed your times and Ben's CCI records.

You guys might want to consider allowing messages to the yahoo group to be unmoderated so submissions don't get rejected for pending too long. I'm guessing some already have since it's almost been 3 weeks now. For as little activity as there is, it's a lot less work to tweak messages after the fact than require players to resubmit.
