Updated more times, but the parser screwed up a bit. Kevin, right now you have the CL 3lap and CCI 3lap non-SC "record" - could you resend some times? Also, could you send in times with the preface "non-SC" not "No SC"? That was a primary cause for this mess up, along with my failing to check the boxes and everything carefully...

Updating times again as I post this.

Honestly, I am comfortable letting Krystian join again as long as he provides some evidence for his times and doesn't send in any of those "impossible times" again. Shall I reply with the nod? I'm thinking it would be a good idea to ask for a video of any time inside the top 30, at least for a while, if he's let back on.

What is "beyond hypocritical" anyway? Supercritical?

I don't think that comparisons to Fenner's case can/should be made, nor do I think anyone here needs reminders as to why his case makes for a poor reference point.

On the other hand, I don't think that because we have had a Fenner case we should become strict to the point of not giving someone like Krystian a second chance. Given the small number of active players, we can easily give him a second chance in our community while keeping an eye on his progress.

It's not the first time, he pulled a similar stunt in mk64 land and was uncooperative.

Beyond as in this is the nth time we have seen moderators attempt to hand out free passes.

I realize not all cases are black and white but it doesn't do the site any good allowing people who don't care about the accuracy or validity of their own times. Picking and choosing how rules get enforced is how messes like these started. Hasn't this board provided enough examples of how this ultimately backfires?

If he didn't make up shit to begin with we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I banned him because he did not provide proof when I asked for it.

I can see the comparisons to Fenner -- I would not be comfortable allowing Krystian back when I wouldn't allow Fenner (or any other known cheater) back. I stay consistent.

Basically, if you care about being on the site, don't submit impossible times/don't cheat/don't do stupid shit that you know will get you banned. I think as site staff, everyone knows the difference between "oh shit, a typo, let's PM the person and fix it" and "this doesn't sound legit", and I don't think exceptions should be made.

Also, in Krystian's case, he also did it with MK64 -- not sure about any of the other sites, but he was banned from MK64 for the same thing.

Also, Tyler Vanderwater(?) sent an e-mail asking for his times to be removed, or if that's not possible for his info to be changed. His name is now Ty Fairwater and his e-mail is not listed.

Alan, I only see 1 submission on the Yahoo Groups in January from you. This update only covered PRs submitted in January. Also, there were a number of complications that made the news writing process quite difficult this time around. You must not have have made an AF cut this month, otherwise I would have noticed.
