For example, it would seem like some people were double-posting and you wouldn't know what they were replying to... Just my thoughts, I can see some circumstances that would be improved if this were implemented too though.

Perhaps this could work this way, for example the ignored post would appear but filled with a kind of blank or message like "ignored post, click here if you wanna read it"

And if they want to ignore a person, you could just not read those posts. I don't think we really need a ignore function

Any way that leaves a stub defeats the whole purpose of ignoring someone.
