Disclaimer - This topic is aimed at voters who are undecided.  I am well aware of those loyal to Lacey or myself so no amount of words can possibly sway your vote.  Since this is the final match, I felt that I should at least address the voters and plea my case and let the chips fall as they may.  I don't think you can change your vote but if you change your mind about either candidate in the next 2 days it's only fair to both of us.



For a contest that took longer than the World Cup, we have finally arrived at the main event!

It is a tale of predictable matches and some surprise upsets.


I didn't believe one vote mattered until this cunt above, who for protection purposes we will call Mack Jurphy, apparently casted a vote for me.  Since the details regarding his controversial vote are being hoarded, it is often believed Kooper's Koin gave me the vote to avoid a tie and simply move onto the next round.  From there it was smooth sailing but having to defeat Clark for a chance to win the entire contest was a terrible and cruel twist of fate.

So why am I here at all?

If the mafia games are any indication of people's read on others, upsets were inevitable.  I'd like to think luck was a huge factor because the people doing predictions have no fucking clue.  Don't hate the karter, hate the game.  Like last time, I have promised nothing and given nothing back to the community other than the mkds site and time update help for mk64.  For whatever reason, more than 50% of the voters felt I was a good choice each time.  I don't know everyone here so for those voting for me whom I rarely exchange words with, thank you.  Karting is our bond and time trialing is the force that ultimately holds this dysfunctional board together.  A lot has changed since I joined 5 years ago and I can say for the most part I have enjoyed bullshitting with the various players here.  For as long as I played video games, this whole world of competition was unbeknownst to me.  If you are one of my bros, you know who you are and it's a fact I wouldn't be here without your support.

No one in my position getting this far wouldn't want to not win it all, I think.

If you have no idea who the guy writing this post is, let's just say he karts and has had some success with it.

I want to win this for Clark, Koopz, and everyone who was once a n00b and worked their way to greatness.  It's the cornerstone of this community and our site records wouldn't be as strong without it.  If you love the story of the underdog and the guy almost no one picked to win the finals then I am your man.

I will be absolutely floored if I win this because let's face it, Lacey is your original mk64 god and helps keep the sites afloat.  If you want to vote for me it is very appreciated and I won't hold it against you if you don't.  It was never my mission to make friends or ass kiss as many people here as possible.  The fact I don't do much aside from mkds and yet here I am still confuses me.  Rest assured, as long as times are being sent in to mk64 or mkds I will be lurking about.  I rarely ask for anything so if you are stumped who to vote for, well yea, I would like your vote!

For my fans, don't be sad I if lose because the sun will rise the following day and life will go on.

Surely the manlier attitude would be to say that they're both winners for reaching the end? They beat a lot of very powerful mini-bosses along the way, like Coops and Clark and Superman. Finals can be swayed by various factors that are hard to calculate, such as English referees, or campaigns. If they fought against each other every year I doubt it would be the same winner every time.

If you think Webb had an ok performance you're either legally blind or completely retarded...or both.
It has nothing to do with Holland losing, as I felt they deserved to lose as well with the way they played. That doesn't say anything about Webb's performance though.

It's not just the not sending off of two Dutch players, which he failed to do, but a plethora of other things. It truly was one of the most horrible reffing performances I've ever seen; heck, he even admitted himself that the entire game felt like a ride through hell...and low and behold...that's exactly the impression he was giving to me.  

Webb after the game: "Sunday night was the most difficult two hours of my entire career. I am physically and emotionally drained.”

That doesn't sound like someone who had something even close to an ok game, does it?  

About the England goal being disallowed, that too was a effing mistake. But overall that ref made far fewer mistakes, admittedly one giant one, but still. It doesn't mean England deserves sympathy or not (same with Holland), it just means the ref made a giant blooper, nothing more, nothing less. Flaming Webb and having sympathy for Holland are two seperate matters, if you can't see that, GTFO.  

Yep, and low and behold, those are all examples of wrong decisions, thanks for making my point!  
Sadly, that's just a very small percentage of the mistakes he made as well.

Nono you got it all wrong. If he reacted with a red card RIGHT away he would have given a signal to the Dutch team and the subsequent fouls would not have followed. It would have saved the game, not ruined it like now.

And I'm not just talking about the two potential red cards, those are just the tip of the iceberg. Noticed the most blatent deflection of the entire World Cup, just before the Iniesta goal and no corner was given?   Just one of the many, many examples.  

Meh, I'm fine, tbh I didn't even WANT them to win the game with the way they played. I was just hoping for an exciting final, like everyone else. This WC sucked though.

I posted this rant on FB right after the WC ended:

Regardless of what team Netherlands has performed (I love football itself more than I love the orange team), overall entertainment value was sub fucking par. The fact the eventual World champion only produced 8 goals in 7 matches probably signifies this more than anything. I say, roll on football ...without the involvement of FIFA, commercialization and defensive minded coaches..."
