Here I'll summarize all the nifty things you can do with the Karter Contest 2010. Refer back to this topic at any time to find what you're looking for, as it will have links to everything you need!

To vote:Simply go to any section of the board and click the topic(s) listed at the top as Global Announcements. Vote in the poll IF you're eligible to vote. Each match includes links to each player's profile so you can learn who they are.

http://www.thengamer.com/updates/kart/2010/This link will let you click any match from the 1v1 stage of the tournament to see a wealth of information about how it went. The top of each breakdown page has the final score of the match, then below that is a table showing how various groups favored each competitor. If you want to see additional information from groups not included by default, simply click from ONE of the dropdowns and hit go to see just that group, OR click from both dropdowns to create a truly custom matchup, like "I want to see how North American MKDS players voted in this match." These stats are very interesting. Categories include: Country, Continent, Seniority, Kart Games, IRC Chat, General Board Posters, Active PR Machines, Moderators, and more! Below the categories is a summary of the push and pull of votes to either side throughout the day. The % of each person at each point is listed, so you can see who was in the lead at any given point.
The spread bet:http://thengamer.com/updates/kart/2010/spread/This page has the results of the spread betting process for every match in the Contest. You can click into any match to see who bet correctly and who didn't, and overall standings are displayed below. Spread betting is where you try to predict each day whether the winner will earn more or less votes than the official line states.
To make a spread bet:http://thengamer.com/updates/kart/2010/vote.phpThis is the link that will let you sign in with your password to make a spread bet. If you don't have your password, PM me or post about it and I'll pass it off right away. If you do, you can just bookmark the resulting link and you won't have to worry about the password anymore. All you have to do is go to this link every day after you vote and make your prediction on the spread line. If people want, we can add an option to include a "Vote of the Day" entry. This is where you type a bit about the reason you voted the way you did in the match. At the end of the match, Honko would choose a few VotDs that had impressive reasoning or were generally hilarious and they would be anonymously posted for all to read. This feature can be turned on if a few people think they'll participate (it's fun!).

If you have voted, check this page out and make sure your information is listed. Several people have incomplete information because they are sneaky like that! Just PM Robin or myself and we can add your proper information right in. This is important because we need those categories to show accurate voter stats after each match.

It's interesting and can be used to help you bet the spread more accurately. Don't take this as a super accurate prediction of how each match will go, because the predictors aren't always perfect!
