Webinator's 2K10 Campaign - Vote.
05/16/10 at 06:53:46

~Hey I might have gotten out in Round Two but at least I had the most viewed campaign topic. Grin~

Yeah, I made 2K10. I'm surprised, but I don't want to go out in the first round. Vote for me and get me into the second round!

Okay, so I'm new to the community, joined in 2008 and you probably don't know me other than being on the MKW boards. You don't know whether to vote for me. So here's the catch. You're probably thinking the Sexiest Group Ever needs to be won by the Sexiest Man Alive. However the decision is on the community to defy the group themes by voting others on instead. Vote Webinator over Mick, Sword, and MH and you'll have many oppurtunities available.

Anyone who votes for me will be included in a shout-out video for each round. Make sure to PM me so I don't forget you on the video. Now I'm thinking that for the shout-out video I'm not just going to type up the names on some stupid program and let the computer do the work. Each round, I'll make a new way to shout-out to my supporters, be it constructing names out of Lego, writing them upside-down, backwards, with my feet, I'm up to suggestions.

If I make it into the second round, I will begin another stage on my campaign. For each karter that votes for me (again remember to PM), I will make one PR in a kart game of their choice. (I may even allow you to choose the track). In even later rounds I can make some select PRs live, and give my shoutout to the karter before and after I complete the PR in their honor. However to even get to this stage of my campaign, I need to gain more votes in the first round in order to progress through the tournament.

Now I have a few other ideas that I'm thinking of taking out now but I want to save at least one good one for if I make it to the first round. In a few days I will decide, so stay patient.

Make suggestions on what else I can do to capture your interest and I'll take them into consideration.

Voting Webinator in Karter Contest 2K10 is a wise decision. Now vote  Wink

~~CAMPAIGN UPDATE 5/19/10~~
Today more details have arrived about my current campaign. For the first round, for everyone that votes for me I will create a Karter Cake and then write the names of my voters on the cake. A full video of the writing of the names will be provided, as well as a video at the end where I personally give thanks to my voters. Credit to Jon Coppernol (J-Cop) for this great idea to help out the Webinator 2K10 campaign! (Note: Make sure to PM me or you will not appear on the cake.)

Confirmed Voters
J-Cop (Jon Coppernol)
RVZ (Robert van Zanten)
Shock (Andy Lundeen)
Matt V (Matt Vanderwouw)
El Nino (Christophe Charignon)
robman60 (Robert Lee)
Dragon (Agustin Berrios)
cutz22 (Noah Gordon)

I think I will end up voting Mick or Sword over you to be seriously 100% honest.  I don't want to lie and I would rather be up front.  However you now have enough substance in your campaign that you may be able to persuade some people.  Nice work!

Yeah, I'm pretty new to the site, I joined in 2008 mainly playing MKW but moved over to the other sites. I help out with updating on the MKW page. I'm not amazing at any of the games, but I'm above average at MKW and around average at the other games. I'm mostly probably not known outside the MKW board, so you might have seen me but have no idea who I am, and maybe more experience would be helpful fighting this group.

I know I'm disadvantaged due to the fact that I have other very experienced players in my group, but hopefully due to the strength of my campaign I can get a couple of votes.

^^Think about it. Sword is going to get many many votes from other karters, but I also deserve to make it into the second round. Not only will you reap the benefits from my campaign, but by voting for me when Sword is guaranteed to make the second round allows you to vote for Sword later and help me move in now, we can both make it.

You get a place in my shoutout video and a chance later if you vote for me to be in the rest of my campaign, and if you vote for Sword you get nothing...

Wow, you drive a hard bargain.  If I could see my name written in frosting on a cake, that would be awesome (maybe you could make a karter cake with the names of those who voted for you?).  It's just a thought.  I didn't get nominated (big surprise lol) so I feel like giving you ideas.  You're in a tough bracket, though Undecided

That is such an great idea! I can use that for my first shoutout video. Although I will have to write it small, I think that would be perfect for the first round.

I have a few other shoutout ideas left, so if I can make it past the first round you'll see more than the "Karter Cake", as well as the PR videos and even more if you request it. My goal is to move farther and farther into the contest, so keep supporting the campiagn and I'll keep rewarding your suppport!

Okay, a couple of quesitons for the people voting for me, so I can actually put them on the cake. Anyone care what type of cake that it is? Or what color their name should be written in? Any designs or anything suggest here so I can please as many people as possible. If you want a slice then you'll have to come all the way to Pennsylvania to get one, so that's probably not possible...otherwise suggest anything you want for the Karter Cake so I can make it the best possible.

Make sure to PM me after you voted that you voted for me, so I can put your name on the cake. I will count votes, and I have a feeling on a couple of people that will and won't vote for me, so don't try to pull anything funny to get your name on the cake.

Also, if J-Cop is planning on voting for me, I think he should get the center of the cake since it was his idea.

Just a couple of things I'm throwing out there.

Want anything special on the cake? I have these Mario kart toys from a McDonalds Happy Meal a while ago that I'm putting on it already, it has Mario in a kart, I think it was advertising MKDD.

Neither Sword or MH showed their face in here so they lose my vote.
Only Mick showed up in here and he votes for me. You also vote for me, right?

Pretty hard for me to pick one of you 2 Undecided

Of course I'm voting for you, the T-shirt idea is so amazing Wink

For round one so far I'm already making a cake and writing the names of the voters on it for Round 1. Then I'll turn it either into a video or take plenty of pics of it, and upload them directly to this thread.

If you have any ideas for the cake (how to make it look, what to put on it, etc.) then post them right here. Hopefully that's enough for round one, but I can try to come up with something else if it isn't. I don't want to get rid of all my ideas yet.  Tongue

Well, since the karters voting for me are the honorary members of the cake, I really don't care. Anybody have preferences? I was going to put icing over it and then write out every name of my vote, with J-Cop in the centerish and then everyone else around it.

(Although I assume you aren't voting for me Mick  Grin)
