I think the last pokemafia we did went really well, for the most part. Nights were 24 hours, but I can't remember if days were 72 or 48.

I would possibly play. I really do like the idea of playing on another forum though, where we can mix up the usernames so that nobody will know who is who. We've all played with each other multiple times and we know for the most part when someone is lying or being genuine. Maybe a little change-up will make it harder and even more fun.

What is a mafia? o.o

Technically, aren't mafia part of the town?  Like, when a mafia player says "I am a townsperson" he isn't lying.  He is a member of the town... he's just also a member of the mafia.

If we play on a separate forum I think to avoid judgment and shit like that we should all be named really technical stuff... enough to differentiate but not different enough to the point where it causes judgment.  Something like;

Alpha1
Alpha2
Alpha3
Beta1
Beta2
Beta3
Delta1
Delta2
Delta3
Omega1
Omega2
Omega3

If these are too similar then maybe we could all be named a letter of the Greek or English alphabet (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Omega, OR Letter A, Letter B, Letter C, Letter D, Letter E, Letter F, etc.)

I just think this would be the most objective way to do it so that everything is based on posts only.

@Cam: If someone were to reveal their name, you could never know if it were really even that person. For example, I could claim to be you and nobody but us would know it was false. You can argue it if you'd like, which would cause confusion and suspicion. This could add an interesting (or annoying?) dimension to the game.

Good point Kmacc, didn't think of that. I suppose I could create an account and just call it "MVT", and for all anyone knows, that's who I am.

The only concern I foresee would be people spending too much time trying to figure out who is who instead of who's mafia. But maybe it won't be that bad.

Edit: lol, I like Goose's idea of a Survivor mafia.
Edit 2: Oh, it's not survivor (I saw Heroes and Villains in the link). But hey, how about a Survivor mafia?

I don't mind about the hoster and the way that the game will be organised (I liked the versions that I've played so imo we could keep playing as then); but If Koopz/Honko/... hosts the game finally count with me

An idea for display names if you do it on another board: Mr. Blonde, Mr. Pink, Mr. White, etc.

EDIT: Okay, got it set up so I think it's perfect to run a mafia game...some notes:

If you edit your post after 1+ minutes it makes a note (aka dont do it unless you made a silly typo)

Only mafia members can see the mafia section

No one can see if you are town or mafia except the moderator of the game

Only the moderator can create topics. This keeps all discussion in one topic

As soon as you die, you are stripped of Town/Mafia status and can no longer post.

Only people with Town/Mafia status may post.

"Last online" "Last post" "Last PM" etc are all disabled so no one can see if you were posting on the mafia section.

I encourage you to try to just look around, tell me if you see anything that should be changed to make the game better....I guess it would be possible to implement things like an automatic vote counter and the like, but it would take a bit of work.
