To sub , you'd need to cut .475 fr the 3lap, or about .158 per lap.


A few extra MT's and tighter turns could potentially eliminate that .158/lap.  If not, there are, for sure, tons of other strats on this course that need to be worked out / tested / optimized.

The turn with the triple MT is extremely wide and flawed.  The U-turn could probably even go down .015 each lap.  Also, as for the parts of rMC that are most likely to have a strat revamp, I'd guess it'd be somewhere after the shroom spot.

This isn't very helpful, I know.  I personally don't know how to cut off .475, I don't think, but in 10 years, I'm sure someone will do it. I shouldn't have guaranteed as it's not a guarantee, just an honest prediction.

The Triple MT is optimized, I spent quite a few hours testing different angle approaches, different turn values on each turn and these were the best results, don't come here writing your crap when you don't know what you are talking about.
The U-turn is as tight as possible, literally any tighter and I hit the wall, you also have to factor in temporary effect the offroad has on a bike when in a shroom state and in a drift . (Any other inputs and I'm either too wide or I hit the wall.)(O wait, you wouldn't know about any of that now would you?)

When put that way, it looks a lot more doable. You may have converted me.

As an experienced TASer myself, I consider everyone TASing MKW to be pretty fucking bad TASers, overall; not necessarily through faults of their own (lol Dolphin). Which is why I can see something like ″158 being cut per lap if a good TASer were to attempt it with good TASing tools (lol Dolphin).

Also, when I say U-turn, I mean the actual U-turn, not the shroomspot.   I would have said "shroomspot" if I meant "shroomspot".  And it's not just about "Of, if I drift a frame earlier I'll hit the offroad".  It's your fucking angles.  They're shit.  WTF you approaching the shroomspot for parallel to the offroad line next to it?  lmao.

Just because a run "looks" unoptimized doesn't mean it isn't a well-made TAS. We've come to understand a particular standard of perfection in TAS runs, with straight softdrifts and perfect quickhops, but these techniques aren't always faster (e.g. Lukas's KC TAS uses more unconventional lines). With the exception of some lost potential considering the lack of wheel TAS input (which improves turning while in midair), MKWii TASers have a very good idea of how the game works. It's easy for an observer to say stuff without any knowledge of the craft, but I can assure you Dylan's run is fully optimal. I'm even going to suggest it's the MOST optimized TAS run ever made in this game, and this has a lot to do with the simplicity of the track he chose to do - MC3 is the only track that doesn't require wheel TAS inputs to give an advantage, as well as being the only one that exists strictly as a flat plane.

I don't have much TAS knowledge but I do have knowledge of the game itself.  You can tell when shit isn't faster, I don't care how fast you soft drifted or got that Mt out, if the angle is off, or the approach, or exit, or whatever, it's slower, and you can only improve if you have knowledge of the track, not just knowledge of TASing, you have to have both.

Have you still not realized that improving times, is a function of multiple variables, not just turn angles? Getting the ideal turn angle generally requires doing a bad turn beforehand, either by having to hold a drift for too many extra frames, or just take a shitty line beforehand, or approaching the previous turn with a bad angle.

yep, slower than the 3/3 shroom glitch. Because on the "Improvable TASes" site, they say that's shroomless is actually faster but then, I proof, that slower compared to a 3/3 shroom glitch.
I know my run is not very perfect and can be done lower but not by 1 second I think (which how I'm slower to Kasey's run and if you consedering the horrible line of Kasey, you can push done Kasey to)

Wheel input is useful on the ground as well. I think it was MKDasher that proved that by making a ghost desync by changing its vertical turn values on MC3 or something like that.

The description says he's worked at it for the past month, and he used frame advance, TAS input, and TAS code, so even though that turn looks kinda ugly, it's probably still optimized.
