If your bike leaves the ground, if even for .001 seconds, you lose speed. So yes, a small bump will cost you speed.

I'm pretty sure if you check back to rDH wr (one of them anyway, it was a run by Alex), you will see somewhere that he hits a bump in the road (I believe it was lap 3, at the turn with the 1st pyramid and the fire snake) and you can see he loses some speed from it. Same holds true for any bump. No matter what, you lose speed while in the air.

Unless he happened to get no air time whatsoever from the bump (which I doubt), he certainly lost some time.

Guilliame needs to incorporate a s-o-m methinks Smiley

Maybe future rPG 3lap WRs will use the superman on all 3 laps (a 3lap TAS obviously would).

You could charge up MTs faster by drifting farther in, and then steering back.
