Mick and Etch are obviously the only two deserving of the award.

Mick made it to #2, but he was already a top player. Hit some more WRs, which is expected from him at that level.

Etch moved from like #30 all the way to #6. He must have cut about 66% of his AF, while Mick cut no more than 50%. Etch did get a WR as well, which wasn't quite expected of him.

Tough choice really, but I would go with Etch for sure.

Etch deserves POY as much as I do, if not more, tbh.
He could get close to my level if he keeps going on 2010.

Also I wasn't active all along this year and did many breaks, including a big one between fall Spring and July, either because I was busy ot because I thought I plateaued...

Anyway it's up to the Gaff to decide how the award should be given. But imo poll seems the best option (with only regulars MKSC players being allowed to vote though). Most fair option.

Mick had a great year we all agree but you cant just give it  to him because he came close last year.

Mick passed some of the best ZZMTs players w/o using ZZMTs.

If this is about overcoming all players who submit zzmt times, we all have to deal with that like PC flap.

I don't want people to confuse passing one inactive player due to their being zzmt or non-zzmt with af/arr cuts as being a reason for POY.  We submit all our times under one table which is not split.  The other kart sites usually focus on individual improvements but I don't know if mksc is different.

This game still has a long way to go so it shouldn't surprise anyone a great player like Mick can take down 1-3 year old times that used zzmt.  If you can't use the boost properly, it's just as good as not boosting.  Solid driving is critical to getting top times and Mick is proof it takes the best to beat some of those records.

Mick should be POY 2010, make no mistake about that !

Passing two karters inside the top 5 ranking (from #4 to #2) and especially owning Pierre's ZZMT times without the help of ZZMT definitely deserves more credit than reaching #7 in the world when ranked #25 at the beginning of the year (which is great, but not good enough in that case, no offense intended) !
