There was a site, dkr.com was it's url if i recall correctly, but that site doesn't exist anymore. I think the creator of the site got bored of it or had no more time or money to keep the site up. I think Cooper was an updater on the site so he can probably give more info on it. I don't think there is any good DKR ranking site on the web anymore.

the old url was www.dkr64.com, but the guy who made and ran the site took it down cuz activity pretty much died off again. the closest thing to a good ranking for the game you can find now is at www.cyberscore.net most of the good players that were on the DKR page are also on CS, and its fairly reputable. the only thing i dont like is that they dont distinguish between SC times or not, so its hard to see where you fall on things purely non-sc related.

matt v has been trying to get one of the code monkeys around here to start a site, but as far as i know, there's been no luck.

what's your specialty? and some of your best times? just curious.

No times as of yet. Been looking for a game to inject myself into. Actually Alan Walters and I are trying to find a good game. I just ordered DKR off of amazon. PAL Mario Kart is yielding some results as of now.

I can tinker with HTML but no where close to the design of these sites. Maybe we could bribe one of these genious website design creators to make it happen? Or just highly compliment their skills so they will be flattered and have no choice but to do it for the sake of preserving ego and vanity Wink

I dunno, it seems alot of people own the game but have no interest in playing it competitively.

There is alot of time to be cut off all courses still, and even a mediocre Mario Karter can be amazing at DKR.

For example, on Star City, in the Car, my WR is 1'15"71. I am a second and a half of the next best record. But the best splits based on my best first lap (25"80) and the WR flap (24"21) give a time of 1'14"22. The potential is insane.

I've never understood why nobody besides me is good at this course though XD

If you're looking for some wins on me, go for Everfrost Peak, I cannot figure out that course at all. Keep in mind I only play Cart well, and my Hover/Plane times are awful.

i'm definitely interested, though i cant promise a lot of activity out of me. i'd have to play ALOT to get back up to PRing regularly, even though my potential is still off the charts.

i've played all 3 vehicles. my plane times are definitely the worst. matt v edges me on cart, and stacy needham is the current best hover player, i believe. a jap player named "0x was" (thats been his alias, never heard of his real name) is INSANE at plane. another jap named Mitani is really good too, but i think matt and i both beat him on cart, and stacy beats most of his hover times, i believe.

and i still have one world record that i know of: GVC 3lap 1:07.53

matt some how beat my lap, i'm still pissed about that. Angry

False. There was a competition at Twin Galaxies a while back, and the PP used to thrive.

And on Car, I will consider myself the MJ of DKR, as my total time was 20 seconds faster than the 2nd place person before the site shut down.
